You're welcome. By the way, I notice you don't have a spark page. I'm still confused by the SparkPeople website - don't understand why some people have their own spark page and some don't. Anyway, I figure it might save you from having to re-enter your background history in discussions like these. Or is SP preventing you from having a spark page?

Rereading what I wrote earlier, I mentioned that the mcps website was confusing as well. Maybe it's just me that finds so many websites remarkably confusing?

By law, all public school tracks in the state of Maryland are open to the public at all times except when they are being used by the school or a paying customer.

It is rather confusing to navigate that page but the info is mostly there (and mostly right) :-P If you're only interested in a particular track, just call the particular school directly.

Might be easier to just go to the drop-in track workouts organized by the MCRRC. They permit walkers. If you're very slow, stick to the outermost lane.

I'm a 65 yo with a history of heart problems, I have a pacemaker/defibrillator. I've been on SP for about 15 months, joining this team 3 months ago when I decided I needed more exercise than I was getting. I took up walking around my Colesville neighborhood, and have been able to get my time/distance in 1 day (I walk every other day) up to 70 minutes and 3-1/3 miles. The climbs up and down the hilly streets have helped me not only in weight loss, but also in increased stamina and fewer problems with other areas. I occasionally have short but incapacitating cases of gout (3-5 days). I've found I really enjoy walking!

Looking at the upcoming colder months, I don't relish walking in cold weather and maybe even the few days of snow we get. Most of my neighborhood is without sidewalks, so I have to walk the asphalt. Does anyone know if high school tracks in MOCO allow walkers?
