When I was little my mom used to make me "ants on a log"
She would cut celery, put some peanut butter in it and then raisins on the top. I liked it because it had a funny name, and I could help her make it. It's also a nutritious snack.
I'm not sure if that's the kind of thing that you were looking for but it was the first thing that came to mind.

I am looking for good snack ideas that would also be kid friendly. Anyone have some that they like?

"Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little course, and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

These muffins are very filling!

The whole wheat flour makes for a dense muffin, which I like. You only need to eat one! If you want a lighter muffin try using whole wheat pastry flour, which is more finely ground and available in the bulk bins at larger grocery stores.
