Tonight I have to set up my booth for a brand new show, and I'm rather worried about it. I don't normally do brand new shows, but this one is run by a very experienced promoter so I thought I'd take a chance. It's so much easier to be optimistic when sending in applications in January! Anyway it's in the middle of a downtown area I don't know, with a very tight check in/load in schedule, and unfortunately I'm in the last load in tier. I'm worried about where I'm going to park while I'm waiting my turn, and that I'm in the group that starts setting up their tents etc. around 8 pm. Sunset around here is before 7:30, I'll be setting up in the dark! I've scrounged up a little lantern and some strong flashlights, but I still find myself really stressed about everything--getting lost, parking, setting up. Has anyone here done this sort of thing before? Do you have any tips, or suggestions to keep from stressing out?
