On deviantart.com. I have created a group called TheExquisiteCorpse club.
I started this club 10 years ago. The basics are one person draws on one side of the paper and covers it except 1 inch showing. then they send the image through the general post and the second person finishes it. now there are over 100 artists using my method. it is fun and very interesting.

"What would it be like if you lived each day, each breath, as a work of art in progress? Imagine that you are a masterpiece un folding, every second of every day, a work of art taking form with every breath. " Thomas Crum
I am motivated to continue with painting after my surgery but haven't set up my studio since returning from Florida. I was very pleased with the results of my first three paintings while in Florida. I have to get my studio organized and ready to start work. I agree organization is very important. I think I will do that today. Yesterday I did my first framing job since my surgery. I haven't been able to do framing for several years because my arm was too weak and painful to control my mat cutter. I was so pleased to find that I can control it again. I thank God, my therapist and my doctor. It is so wonderful to be able to work again!
I just tried to find some of my sculpting tools and that just fell flat - so I must go through it all -plastic tubs are just not working I need to get box like shelving and redo things - it feels so intimidating - but I will use what tools I found to work with to at least get started on a project and come back to sort this week
Do or do not. There is no try. YODA

I liked what the one gal said. " that cleaning out the clutter can be an inspiration to creativity and being artistic!" (In so many words) If you like to be inspired, check out my blog pages......I am working on a few projects. Hope your all inspired. Could use some encouragement! ( I do know when your decluttering you can be inspired to be creative and lose some weight! I did! Just ... by Moving it all! Hope you like my art! Photos and quilts! susana
My favorite verse is Hebrews 13:5 "He (G*D) said to me, I will never leave thee nor forsake me" Also found in many other books: Joshua 1: and Matthew and in the words of Jesus my Messiah! I also love reading Sauls-Pauls Roman road! Favorite verse in the New Testament is :Romans 8:1."There is therefore, NOW, no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.... but after the Spirit! My desire! My favorites writer,j.myers /Charles calls.

Yes planing and preparing the evening before what to do - This business of decluttering.. Maybe the best thing is to accept the clutter and then follow the art plans untill something has to be found under the clutter Then clutter is the task..
Frida Better laugh at nothing Than nothing to laugh at
helps a lot... off to cook for the church fundraiser..... no time for exercise...maybe later...will be long day... started early...just came back to check in and change shoes...! should get something for standing and cooking for 6 hours you would think!
You might be referring to the book "Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?" by Peter Walsh. I was telling someone a couple of weeks ago that I have that book, but it is buried under some clutter right now!
I do think that clearing our houses and our minds of clutter make us receptive to better ideas and can help motivate us to create more art. Now I just need to follow through!
I sat down to carve yesterday and suddenly it was 3 hours later.... its like my mind and soul transports elsewhere... and I missed my snack too!
I also missed taking a medicine...the phone...etc... and its all good...! Only when something is not coming up like it should do I think it would be better to go and eat something and come back to it.... anyone else get this feeling too?? Maybe just avoidance of a problem I am working through or a real break...not sure..
off to carve a bit more... working on a Christmas card series which is not going well...(someone ask me to do it and I just can't get behind it for some reason....) will try to just draw randomly for a bit...sometimes that helps.... (better than chocolate chips...)
on track food wise today....feeling a bit lazy but hope to bike shortly too.. have a great day...Meg
I have times when I take a break from art for a few days and to get back into the routine I start slow. spend a little time to figure out what I want to work on and get things ready. and get things our the night before then I cant wait to get up and paint. You might spend 5 10 15 minutes on getting things ready for a few days if you want to work or not and see if that helps.
Same goes with your diet. 5 10 15 minutes preparing menu, shopping list. til you are back on.
