I know, for me, a lot of the problem in getting OUT to excise is: There's sometimes nowhere to go.
We've got a LOT of Parks, and there's the Brevard Zoo, but sometimes they can get old if you over-frequent a place.
What places do YOU know of that are good, relatively healthy, places to go to get out of the house- either by yourself, with your loved ones, or maybe even on a healthy date!
Don't forget to include where in Brevard it is, and if it's free, or what entrance costs there are, or special deals the placed may have!
Here's My Quick List - Brevard Zoo (Melbourne) There is an Entrance Fee, but also an option to buy an annual pass- which pays for itself if you go frequently! It's.. a Zoo!
- Ulumay Wildlife Santuary (Merritt Island) Free. There are paths that can go on for what feels like miles, with lots of water, trees, and wildlife to enjoy. If you canoe, you can go off of the trail and observe nature by taking to the canals. There's also a pier just outside of the sanctuary that you can fish off of- and sometimes see the occasional dolphin or manatee!
- Wickham Park Free (Some events do require entry fees) With several pavillions, lakes for swimming or scenery, a frisbee golf course, a playground, a dog park, and more, there's almost no way a person could be bored here! Several of our members have met here before, and have gone on social walks/jogs!
