I am trying to do better with our menu planning so that has helped with the trips to the grocery store. I go to the grocery store at the beginning of the month and buy all the meat and non-perishable items that I need for the month then I usually make one stop a week to buy milk, bread, fruits, and vegetables. It has really helped me keep down the "unnecessary and unhealthy" purchases.

My husband does the grocery shopping every Friday on his way home from work. I make him a grocery list and email it to him the day of. I am extremely photosensitive which includes florescent lights so I can no longer do it. It actually is cost effective this way cause he does not grab all the extras and pretty much sticks to the list. Truth be told he is better at it!

I do my grocery shopping usually on Wednesday, however since I have been down my husband does the grocery shopping I get him to take me on Saturday morning to get pick up things that he wouldnt know what they are lol ... you know like yogurt, flat out bread, my favorite soup ... I have gotten use to a certain way of eating and he eats no where near what I eat . But I really cant complain he is doing the best he can under the circumstances.
