Great suggestions, Cleaneatqueen. I get up before my son to get my exercise in. It was a little rough at first but now I enjoy the early start. My workout is done and over with first thing then any extra exercise later is a bonus.

I know it's so hard to limit your food intake when you're home all day!! I would recommend trying to plan your meals and snacks ahead of time. If you feel hungry between meals, drink some water first. If you still feel hungry go ahead and have a healthy snack.

As far as exercise, set an alarm to get up and walk, stretch, do jumping jacks, push ups, situps or some other exercise like every hour. Use your lunch break to go for a walk or do a video or 2 from Spark People! There was a cardio dance one sent out in an email recently that looked fun/silly. It's Bollywood style. But who cares if you look silly in the comfort of your own home?!

Hi All... I have been a teletriage nurse for 15 years. It was great when the kids (and me!) were younger- I loved the hours and flexibility. Now that I am a little older (haha!) I find that the weight is stacking on and I am having trouble balancing exercise from work. I sit for most of my shift with very few breaks. I am trying to up the water and stretch/weight lift while sitting. I work from home so it should be easy to fit in short spurts of activity but it is sooo easy to snack all day.
Any hints or help would be appreciated-- we are heading to Disney at the end of August and I would love to take off 10 pounds before we leave!
