Hey!Great news today. I stayed under 1300 calories today and drank all my water. Thinking about joining a gym a couple days a week. I know how hard it is to make time for yourself when you have children. Somedays you cant even hide in the bathroom. My children are grown with children of their own. Now its my husband that wants to know whats taking tooo long in the tub. hahahahaha
Hi, fellow nurses! I am brand new to Sparks and feeling kind of lost. Yes, I need a challenge. I think ,for me anyway, I need to be accountable. Part of my problem is that for the past 20 years +, Ive learned to eat fast and work hard. As I have aged I find that I am exaused by the end of my shift. I need motivation and hope I will find it here. Thanks.... Paula

These goals sound do-able. keep it simple 2-3 goals are more than enough.. Maybe try 1 goal per week to try and instill these as habit rather than overwhelm ourselves with too much at once. We are super moms, super wives, super nurses but it can be hard to have so many roles and still carve out time for ourselves. Go team !

Good Idea for monthly challenges! I tried to start one in January and the team was very inactive then. Since then there are new members that are in need of motivation any ideas on what kinds of thingsa you want in the challenge...let me know and I will work on getting a month worth of challenges to post for March! I'm up for the challenge! I'm new to SparkPeople but so far I'm really excited to be here. With all the support, how can I go wrong? As for motivation, think about it this way: We do amazing things for other people all day long. We put our patients first. Isn't it time to think about our health and take of ourselves for a change?

I'm in! I need something or someone to boost my motivation and get me off my butt! I haven't been very active at all during February (I've had a "virus" and now have bronchitis) but I need to whip myself into shape here! Summer will be here before you know it and I know I want to shed some more lbs and tone up what I have before I slip it into anything remotely slinky! Count me in!
