I think it is too. It gets me out of my food rut. I use recipe sites like allrecipes, sparkpeople recipes to find recipes with the ingredients I have!
I will often go through my pantry and freezer, plug in the ingredients I find there and find a recipe in which I either don't need to buy any ingredients or have to buy very few--stretching the food dollars. Its a beautiful thing.

doing the food stamp challenge but will be travelling to say bye to my son he will be gone for 6 months on his new job first time away from home so i don't think i'll meet the challenge this month, started yesterday and i only spent 43.15 euros on food it sounded easy but this month have to stay in athens 4 days so no cooking in a hotel well we will see will try to save the other days maybe i will make it
well it may be working for me but it doesn't work for everybody most of my clothes are 5-10 years old started cleaning my closet the day before yesterday and couldn't stop crying too many clothes were worn out got rid of them now that i've gain weight i'm in truble almost nothing fits what will i do??? try to lose it to get back in my clothes slowly and maybe buy a cheap dress and a few clothes from a chineese store too much trying to save and always being broke how do i do it!!!!
yes i think i saved a few euros or more store brand and store brand again i paid only 51.00 got a few bags bought pee , beans and okra all from frozen veggie section i rember the beans were 1.49 the store brand and the next brand was 3,something double price the only thing i do not shop store brand is my little ones milk and her shampoo and conditioner i look at prices when i shop up and down double look saves a couple of euros here and there sorry no coupons in greece that are worth anything why go with a coupon and save 2 euros on soap for clothes that cost 15,00 euros when the store brand is around 7,00 euros i also go shopping 1 time a week everything i forget ( i'm only human ) and really need i buy from the local super market
