Not sure if there is any following in this team any longer, but today I signed in to be team leader again before they close out the One-A-Day Gang forever..

this was a really fun team. we've all drifted away. I'm retiring, and I accessed this through a program at work. I won't be able to access as me anymore.

After yesterday's issues of not being able to come onto the One-A-Day Gang's boards, I breezed in with no problems today! I do think the script that runs the huddle wall was the problem. But none of this matters because about 45 minutes ago my new laptop arrived! I will have it up and running before Monday.
Have a great weekend, TOASTIE! I am enjoying the welcomed cooler weather as well. It certainly was a HOT, HOT summer!

Interesting conversation with a co-worker who was trying to tell me there is no proof of God. Wow. This is so beyond me. I look around at the trees and the hills and the clouds and the miracle of birth, and I wonder -- how can there not be a God?

Hi, hope you're having a great day! Singing practice starts tonight -- it's a small praise team choir that sings contemporary songs once a month in our church. Unfortunately, it is at the same time as zumba class. Guess I'll have to sing very energetically to make up for missing dance class.

Well, on Saturday, I cranked up the tunes, posted on facebook that I had a date with my vacuum and dustcloth, and spent all day in one room! It's the main floor family room, and boy, has it ever had a lot of living! The love seat went to college with my daughter, giving me an opportunity to re-arrange. Which I did - which lead to a lot of dusting and vacuuming and huffing and puffing as I moved furniture. The room looks bigger now. More carpet exposed, which led to some carpet shampoo time since I could now see exactly where feet went in front of the couch, and where the dog liked to lay next to the couch. I am throwing out all the old VHS tapes that were recorded TV shows. The quality wasn't all that great in the first place, and I have had those boxed up for at least 2-3 years, and no one has missed them. Yay -- I LOVE getting rid of stuff!

How funny, TOASTIE! Our Lab/Great Pyrenees mixed dog stays outside and sheds all over! Evidence is clearly seen!!!
I forgot to mention in my last post that today I am going to order a new laptop to replace an antiquated PC and a laptop that will not stay charged up. The laptop won't even stay plugged in anymore. I found out before our FL trip that, that problem lies on the motherboard. I have worked on both to the point that I will gladly toss them away after I totally erase their hard drives! The new one should arrive within the week that I probably won't be on a computer anyways while recuperating from the surgery.

Glad you had a nice trip to FL. Best wishes for surgery. Have fun pecking away at laundry! Hope the dust bunnies didn't breed while you were gone.
When I had a golden retriever, I didn't have dust bunnies -- I had dust elephants, and they would stampede! Although sometimes they would just roll around on the floor laughing at me as I futilely tried to vacuum them up. They bred faster than I could vacuum.

Hi there, TOASTIE!!! We had such a blast in FL!!! I came home with a bonsai as a souvenir! I had really stopped to pick up one for MIL and then could resist getting one for myself. She took care of our two cats and dog while we were away.
Today is the reverse of all that was done in order to leave! Then tomorrow I am having surgery on both hands. I will be bandaged for two or three days, but will try to peck out a few keys to you by the end of the week.
It sounds like you and your daughters had a wonderful visit! Nothing more fun than doing girlie-girl things! Glad you had that time with them.

I'm off to the bone and joint doctors today. Jo (MIL) has an appointment as well for her knees. Mine is for the constant numbness in my hands. When I get home I will be getting ready for our FL trip. If all goes well today, I think we are going to leave a day early.

Oh my, you do have enough going on that would make any one feel frazzled! I'm just popping in to see what you wrote and it ends up to be a mix of many things.
I figured out half my comp problems late in the day yesterday. So that one thing is off my list. Today I took my grand-daughter, whose 17th birthday is today, to get her first ever pedicure. I figured while she was being taken care of, why not treat myself as well . . . that was sort of a no-brainer!!! I'm back home now and need to move on to other things on that list of mine.
Take care my friend. SparkMail me if you need.

Breathing in and out. Feeling frazzled -- busy at work, one daughter home from camp and frantically trying to spend time with all friends before everyone leaves for college -- then she needs to pack herself up for college. Another daughter and step-daughter swinging through tonight long enough to borrow a car for a couple days to go to their dad's girlfriend's funeral. Sigh. I really liked Kim. She was killed in a car crash last week. Worried about my dad, so lots of phone calls with siblings. Breathe. Breathe.
Thanks - I feel better now. We'll get through this.

I want you to know that I am in the midst of HUGE computer problems. Yesterday I reformatted the hard drive on my PC. When I went to update Win XP, I found out that Service Pack 2 is now obsolete! Have to have SP2 to install SP3. So today I am trying to research how to remedy the problem.
On the computer I am on right now, a laptop, it constantly is disconnecting from the electricity which causes my battery to take its place. Almost immediately I get a message that the battery is in a critical state.
On top of all of that, this week I am getting ready to go to FL with our son's family. Sooooo, I just wanted you to know what was going on before you thought I up and left. I hate it when SparkFriends disappear without any regard to the fact that friendships have been made. It always leaves a feeling of non-closure within me!

I'm heading to Sugar Creek Bible Camp. No late nights for me because I have to stay alert behind the wheel. This is the same camp my daughter has been working at this summer. At the end of the summer, there are long weekends for families -- this is our 12th year to attend family camp.
Here it is past 2:30 a.m.! A second night in a row for pulling a middle-of-the-nighter! My sleep patterns sometimes get off track. This is one of those weeks!

Life will be so nice once we get over this hump of clearing clutter. One drawer at a time. one shelf at a time. Just like one pound or one step or one good decision at a time.

I'm SO glad you are back!!! Did you have a good time? Tomorrow I will go over to your blog and read how your Dad has inspired you.
It is past 1 a.m. and I have got to finished up my day. I never did get to try out WATP's today. I don't know what came over me but when I got up this morning I went into my computer room and started going through ALL the computer storage disks in my life from CD's/ZipDrives/A-drive disks. Oh . . . how they have accumulated over the years! Well I am on my last few and I'm determined to finish before I go to bed. I do not want to get up and look at another disk of any kind.
The goal has been to get all the important stuff i.e. pictures, bible studies, important files, etc. all onto my hard drive in an organized order. When I am done, I will then back-up my hard drive onto an external hard drive.
Before I started, there were copies of copies AND multiple copies of many, many things! It's been a long day, but worth it!!! This all has to do with . . . CLUTTER be GONE!!!

Oh, yum pizza on tortillas! and herbs! I keep thinking about growing herbs. Last year I tried basil, but didn't really know what to do with it. Oh, and I have chives. Chives are simple. Plant them and they keep coming up year after year. Butterflies love them. Great sprinkled on cottage cheese.

Tomorrow morning, I am going to slap on my walking shoes and do WATP's for the first time in over a year! I am excited to get back into a walking program!

This morning I took my first cuttings off the herbs that I am growing. Drying out are lemon thyme, oregano, dill weed, and basil. I am new at growing herbs so right now I am on a learning curve. But one thing that I know I got right, is the containers that I will store them in. I emptied out the jars of the "old" herbs that have been sitting in my cupboard for years. The right jars with correct lables will soon hold fresh herbs!!!

I just got done mixing up a batch of Chef Boyardee Pizza Sauce. It takes longer to open the can than it does to add the few herbs that go into it. Then you came to mind because I am making pizza on torillas tonight. The thinnest crust pizza that I can come up with. If truth be known, I've even made pizza on a plate without ANY crust; just sauce and toppings! YUM!!!

an irrigation system sounds wonderful! I didn't do any potted plants this year because I didn't want to be tied down with a need to water.

Have a great time this weekend!!!
It certainly has been hot! But my plants are not suffering. I don't know if I told you, but this year I irrigated my deck so every plant is watered regularly throughout the day. This week, even being in the 100's, I planted seeds for morning glories and they have already sprouted! I put the planters to the outside of the deck being in position underneath the planter boxes to catch their overflow of water. Each planter box has 2 - 3 holes for drainage. This plan is to stop the carport area from being wet all the time. I love it when a plan comes together!
Well enough of my rambling!!! Have a great day!

Lots of fun stuff ahead for you! Hope you have a great time with family, friends, AND sum-mer camp How much fun is that!!! Loved summer camp growing up. Such great memories remain to this day!
Last week when we had company, I felt like I was on vacation here at home. We went out motorcycle riding nearly every day. Yesterday in the evening was the first time we've been out since they left. All riding has to be put off during the day when the sun is high. Right now, as I type, it is 101 degrees; and that is not including the heat index!

I am heading to Illinois to visit my parents and attend a friend's 60th birthday party. That's one class that I'll miss.
Then I have family camp at Sugar Creek Bible Camp, where my daughter is a counselor. I'll miss 2-3 classes for that.
And then the instructor is going on vacation.
I'll have to dance with my WII machine. Or hope for cooler weather so I can walk outside.

I have missed the last 3 zumba classes. I need to get there tomorrow night, as I think I will miss about half of them in the next 2 weeks, too.

I wish it was a water aerobics day! Thanks for the nudge! Really need to get back into the swing of things. Water aerobics got put on hold weeks ago on account of a heavy table tray collapsing that left a very nasty gash on the front of my leg. There is just little bit of the scab still left. I did not want to go into a public pool with an open wound.
So many things happen on this side of the computer in our 3-D world that goes unsaid! That little event was one of them.

Even if they were the very best guests ever, it takes me a while to get the house cleaned again, and frig sorted out, dishes put away, beds changed, etc.
