When i first started practicing yoga, I got the "Yoga for dummies" video...the instructor goes through each pose and tells you how to bteathe, hold your body and muscles, etc. Then once I learned the routine, I put it to music (relaxing music like ENYA). There is also a great website where I printed different moves and put them together on a poster. http://www.abc-of-yoga.com/
Some videos, like Denise Austin, go through the poses really fast, more like cardio, which I personally didn't like..I like the more meditative type b/c it is great for de-stressing. I still have my Yoga for Dummies, and if you'll e-mail me your address, i'll send it to you- then you can pass it on when you are done. let me know!
