When i first started practicing yoga, I got the "Yoga for dummies" video...the instructor goes through each pose and tells you how to bteathe, hold your body and muscles, etc. Then once I learned the routine, I put it to music (relaxing music like ENYA). There is also a great website where I printed different moves and put them together on a poster. http://www.abc-of-yoga.com/
Some videos, like Denise Austin, go through the poses really fast, more like cardio, which I personally didn't like..I like the more meditative type b/c it is great for de-stressing. I still have my Yoga for Dummies, and if you'll e-mail me your address, i'll send it to you- then you can pass it on when you are done. let me know!
I would love to learn Yoga-is there something or somewhere you started learning? I have a co-worker that does Yoga but it is finding a time that her and I could both schedule. I would really like to learn at home-maybe a video? Any ideas?
I totally understand the emotional eating! I have tried to replace the eating with exercise and yoga to de-stress.

It is hard to believe, but we do have difficult stressful weeks in Girl Scouting. If you are staff or if you are a leader-there are times that are harder than others. So how do you destress? Are you an emotional eater? What works and do you have any tips?
This may seem like more of a blog here than a post-but I did have a difficult week. Then the icing was a horrible video on the net (not going to say what or where) that insulted the Girl Scouts Councils. I believe in the team we have at our council. Everyone gives to make sure that the Girls benefit. So today was hard not to reach for those comfort foods. Im just hoping that someone may have tips for this. :)
