"Limited Brands" is the parent company of The Limited, Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works, and a few others. They give you this information so you can choose for yourself how picky you're going to be about your cruelty-free purchases. For instance, whether you WILL buy a product because the brand that makes it doesn't test on animals, or WON'T because the corporation of which it is a subsidiary does engage in animal testing with some of its other brands.
Your post is really timely, actually, because I've been on a cruelty-free rampage (in my own home only, lol) lately, pitching or boxing up to give away at a product party in the future anything that can be tied in the slightest way to animal abuse. I'm done with cosmetics and personal care items, and next is cleaning products. That shouldn't be too hard, because I switched to vinegar a few years ago, but I'm sure we have some Baddies around here somewhere.
I always think I'm going to make my own stuff, but I rarely do. I mostly just use Dr. Bronner's magic soap for everything washing-related: face, hair, body. A recent exception is Dark Angels scrub from Lush. (Most of their products are vegan, and they actively campaign against animal testing, by the way.)

This is somewhat "recipe" related............I am trying to find a new face cleanser to use that is Vegan approved. I've been to PETA's website/link 'Beauty without Bunnies' but am confused by some of the info. Unfortunately, the face cleanser I use now in not vegan friendly and was hoping to find something that is.
Does anyone have a recipe for their own homemade cleanser? I'm going to google this, as well, but thought I'd run it by my teams.
Also, when PETA designates a company as Vegan friendly but in parenthesis says (Limited Brands) - what does that mean? I emailed them; still haven't gotten a reply.
Thanks in advance, Pat

I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. I will set a good example for my daughters and my son. I will be a woman that makes my grand children proud when they look at pictures of me long after I've left this earth.
