I put a few pounds back on during my week of the viral head cold. Good to get back on track.

I'm so close to the goal weight I identified, but all my weight loss has happened without my having any intention (or real need) to lose weight. Maybe my body is saying it's done, I should stay at about this weight.

Another strange week for eating. For me, this whole thing is not so much about losing weight--I'm not overweight, although I can afford to lose some--but about learning to listen to my body, eating what, when, and the amount I want. Recently one of my friends asked me what I ate, and I told her, "I eat anything I want, other than simple carbs and added sugars." I figure that if I learn to honor what my body is telling me, eating when I'm hungry and not when I'm full, my weight loss will stop when it really needs to.

Sunday is already my weigh-in day; I am 140.6 pounds.
Down from 150 since June 21. I signed up with no plans to lose weight; simply to get down my cholesterol and triglycerides. But I can't pack in enough calories from healthy foods to maintain my weight. That's OK for now, but I can't afford to lose very much. I am trying to learn to listen to my body, and eat when I want, what I want, and how much I want. If I do that, I assume my body will start to accept more calories when it's needed. I think it's already starting to put on the brakes.
