I believe that the pollution accumulates in the fatty parts of fish (birds and mammals too) I think seaweed is not as bad as fish. But it's definitely something to look into.

Hi glad things worked out, when I first started I got some of the meatless things, but as I got more into reading labels I have found special vegan food to be just as processed as not vegan so better to leave it alone and go for whole foods

I've only been a vegetarian for a couple months now and I'm still learning how to cook healthy meals. I went to the library and got a bunch of veggie cookbooks and bought a few too. Its helped me out a lot.
For a while a I was living on Boca and other meatless frozen foods which really can't be that healthy. I still eat them but have cut down and started cooking. Hubby eats meat so Really I was scared to cook a veggie meal and him not like or eat it. But he did!

Mike - one way to get that seafood flavor without actually eating animals is to have seaweed. I just tried it today with a pasta that my husband made and it was really good. The best part is that it's good for you too.

I am new to the vegetarian life style, I am currently meat free but I do as little dairy as possible but love seafood so that will be the last to go. Mean while I must learn a new way of eating and cooking
