PETA is challenging everyone to take part in National Vegetarian Week by going vegetarian for 7 days.
Each person who eats vegetarian meals for 1 week saves the lives of more than 100 animals per year.
On average vegetarians are 10 - 20 pounds lighter than their meat eating counterparts. In addition, many vegetarians report that cutting meat out of their diets results in them feeling better physically, having more energy, having clearer skin, and continue to report having the ability to lower both their cholesterol levels and their blood pressure levels.
