Rough day here. We have an 18 year old cat who until a few days ago was still her snugly but opinionated self. She really slowed down a couple of days ago and quit eating yesterday. The vet just called with the bloodwork results. It looks like her kidneys are failing. We're going to try to keep her comfortable over the weekend but know we're going to have to have her put to sleep. So sad.
Glad you're feeling better Bud and that everyone else seems to be having a good day. Still thinking of you Inky.
The topic at the coffee machine this morning at work was stress eating. Seems to be epidemic. No one had a good idea about how to manage since you can work and eat but not do anything else and eat. One person admitted they brought a box of Kashi bars in on Monday to have one each day for after noon snack this week but had eaten all 6 by 10 AM Monday. . . I told her, next week leave the box at home and put one in your purse each morning. Inky, I really feel for you. Monday seems like so long to wait. Hopefully you will feel better by Monday. My minor ailments are starting to clear up a bit, but I need to go back to eye doctor because I'm out of medicine and still blurry and red. And Bouncer, one idea is to put two cookies in bag in freezer to give to Cameron another day for snack. Oh the airport at 4AM, at least there's low traffic.

Hey there Irishgirl, wishing you a stress free day! I like to chew gum when I'm stressed.
Inky! I say a little prayer for you everyday! Get better will you!?!
I'm still battling the chocolate chip cookies, lucky for me there's only 3 or 4 left and I'll save two for Cameron for snack tonight. I got an extra 15 minutes at the Y today which was awesome. I came home feeling so great that I picked 10 strength training exercises to do. YAY! I think I'm even getting a little 6 pack. Up high where there isn't any "baby flab" I see some definition! Double YAY!! I've NEVER had that before.
HONK! HONK! HONK Irishgirl! Hope today is less stressful for you and then when you do get stressed that you go for a short walk rather than eat. Pack yourself some carrot & celery sticks. They are a good way to crunch out your frustrations! Let us know how you did.
As for me...I FINALLY heard back from the doctors! I guess 6 days later is better than 7 days later or not at all right? Anyway, the game plan is to bring me back in for another bronchoscopy on Monday. One of 3 things can happen. 1) My throat is fine. They will suck out all the mucus and send me home. 2) My throat has closed a little. They will send me home and have me come back later in the week for another procedure to open up my airway. 3) My throat has closed substantially. I will be admitted to the hospital and they will do the procedure on Tuesday. In the meantime I just hang in there and stay still as any movement causes me to cough which then causes me to not be able to breathe.
