I love the little smokie recipe. Sounds similar to how my grandma makes them. I'll have to try it myself!

I do my best at everything else. Why should taking care of myself be any different?

This is one of my favorite slow cooker chili recipes.
I also make crock pot lil smokies: grape jelly, dried minced onion, cocktail sauce, worschestershire sauce, & lil smokies. Stir all together & cook on low until the sausages are cooked thru.
Look on the Allrecipes website as they've got hundreds of crock pot recipes.

I mainly use the crock pot for chili. Other than that, it sits unused.

I would but I can't,lol. I'm one of those non-measuring cooks. I would not be able to tell you because I just add as I see fit. Like soups, I'll take leftovers, throw them in the crock, add spices, & let it cook. It comes out good but the next time will be different, lol. Never the same. Sorry:)

Check out www.slowandsimple.com

There are lots of good recipes on that website all for the crockpot/slow cooker.

You always have a choice. No food has the power to make you eat it, and no one else determines your values or priorities. Sure, the situation may be difficult; sometimes you may have to choose between less than ideal options, or even pick the lesser of two evils. But the choice is always yours, and the only way to fail in the long run is to fail to choose.

Do you have any good recipes you want to share? I would like to use my crockpot more but everything I put in needs to cook for about 10 hours since that is usually how long I am gone during the day.

i USE MY CROCK POT ALL THE TIME IN THE WINTER. I MAKE CHILI, SOUPS, STEWS EVERYTHING IN THEM. IT'S CONVENIENT, NO HASSLE WAY TO COOK THINGS WHEN YOU GO TO WORK OR SOMEWHERE. YOU COME HOME & IT'S READY:) I DO ROAST, POTATOES, & CARROTS IN THERE TOO. THEN ALL YOU HAVE TO MAKE WHEN YOU GET HOME IS YOUR GRAVY. I KNOW FATTENING, BUT YUMMY TO HAVE SOMETIMES:)YOU COULD JUST DO THE BROTH INSTEAD IF YOU WANT, LESS FATTENING.

About the only one that I make (just because I don't know of anything else) is french dip sandwiches. I just throw a beef brisket with au jus in the crock pot, let it cook all day and then toast hoagie rolls. Everyone in my family loves it.
