Not to chase anyone away, being the moderator and all, but there is another CrossFit group that may be more active. You might join that group, too. However, this group is growing RAPIDLY. Keep posting!

I am wanting to do the same thing. I think the best way to go about it is to follow the guidelines of either the Zone diet or the Paleo diet and track them on Sparkpeople. Personally, I know about how many calories I need to lose weight and feel good. It is really important that you factor in your exercise because Cross Fit is going to help you to burn a lot of calories. You should stay on the high end of the recommended calories in Sparkpeople and possible go slightly over. I would monitor it for a couple of weeks and see how it goes.

I like Zone better because I love milk and dairy is out on the Paleo. Allow yourself some cheat time so you don't feel deprived. It has helped me tremendously.

i wanted to know if anyone follows the zone or paleo diet along with crossfit? i am going to start it this week. Any tips on how to stay consistent with this? or what works for you?
