I finally broke my rule because I was itching for classes that were a steal ... however, these (pre-recorded, non-interactive) are online ... $5 a month for 3 months (tacked on to what's left of my free trial month - remember, it started out being 2 weeks' free trial and a series of events led to all this ...)
Online does not work for everybody ... some people need the discipline of being at a live venue for practicing ... just like some yoga teachers (even some quite videogenic ones) need to teach only to live students ... or they would not teach at all ...
Online does not work, in more ways than one*
* I realize that my transmission speed leaves something to be desired. But I had only one video stop on me, the rest had slight hiccoughs ...
The next time an online video stops on me, I will just mash it up with my own thing.
I am not a beginner at Pilates, and I dance the 5 Rhythms ...
Plus I have my own yoga practice at home (for which I've just bought my latest commercial-grade prop ...)
I was doing "Flowing Practice for Weight Loss" and it stopped at time = 36 minutes ...
At that time, I just warmed down and stopped practicing ...
When I am tired or otherwise in dire motivational straits, I invoke the "10 minute rule", which says that you could do any activity for just 10 minutes ... I'd invoked the 10 minute rule at time = 38 minutes, in what I'll call the tech-snafu variety ....
Lesser artists borrow, great artists steal.
