So sorry to hear you are under the weather, my daughter and I waited for a bit and then got started. It was nice out there this morning. Let's still shoot for next week. I just double checked my calendar and I am free Monday morning as early as 7:30 or Tuesday morning at 9. Or both :)
Aw, not going to make it. Been sick for three days, no food, no good sleep until last night, feeling too weak to walk much. Darn, didn't even lose any weight with such starvation! Only just remembered what day it is, LOL. So sorry to miss out on this.
9 am is good. Either Wednesday or Thursday. Meet at rock, or meet at the point, or across from Toro Creek Road? I'm now confused. But, I haven't had breakfast yet, so the brain function could be low, LOL.
So, what time? High tide, low tide ? I'll just figure to write the rest of the day, LOL, or knit. After three miles, which I can generally do if I don't need to do anything else that day except breathe, I'll call my husband to come get me where ever we end up. :D
Our plan last year was to work up to walking from the Rock to the Cass Pier, having lunch in Cayucos, taking the bus back to Morro. Haven't quite gotten there, yet....

A 60 minute walk is great. We try to do it MWF with our neighborhood walkers. Today's 3+ mile boardwalk took about 80 minutes as we got involved helping Pacific Wildlife Care capture an injured gull near the pier at Pismo.
CHERYLL3: We don't have to go 5 miles. That's something I'm working up to. I am up to do whatever anyone wants to. My goal is just to keep moving for about 60 minutes or so. If you want to join me, please do, for ANY amount of time. I think it would be fun

That sounds like fun...but 5 miles will be a challenge! Willing to walk halfway, though. What time frame were you planning?
I'm up to averaging 2 miles a day, and have actually gained another 8 pounds for the first time in two years. The only change I have made was that mistaken try in March to cut calories for 3 weeks, which resulted in the gain during that time. It has not come off since. So, I'm pretty bummed about the whole diet/exercise thing. It just isn't as magical as advertised, LOL. I walk and ride my bike because I love it, but after ten years of trying everything considered sensible, no longer expect to lose weight.
Ok, I need to keep my exercise up. I mapped the route on the beach in Morro Bay from the stairs off Toro Rd to Morro Rock and back and it's 5 miles +/- SOOOO I am thinking that this coming Wednesday I am going to do the walk in the morning. I'm not a crazy walker, I walk enough to keep my heart rate up. Anyone care to join me? Runners / joggers welcome!
Several hours later I realized that this Wednesday is 4th of July, my family traditionally spends the day together and does the parade and all that, SOOOO let's make plans for NEXT Wednesday, July 11th. Who's with me???
