MOTIVATION!
Let's get some idea's here.
What motivates you stick with a healthy diet?
What motivates you to keep up with your fitness plan?
I do not know how I manage to stray from a healthy diet and fitness plan. But yes, I did it again, and I've got to get back to 'healthy and feeling good. emoticon

I've changed my eating habits. I am eating lots of lettuce, spinach, onions and cabbage, all chopped up. I add half a can of tuna and 1 ounce of part skim cheese. I even use 2 tabs. of light ranch dressing. I am eating a half cup of cooked oatmeal with a chopped up apple for breakfast. Yes, I actually eat breakfast now.
Amazing! I don't slump any longer, my posture is better. With disbelief..... I thought I would start doing body toning. I bought a book called, "6 MINUTE MORNING toning", I am not following the rules and it is still helping me. Scheduling things just doesn't work to well for me. It doesn't matter if I'm sitting at the desk or assisting the children with an activity, out of no where, I just do 30 seconds of body toning exercise, relax for 10 seconds and repeat the 30 second exercise again. The children love it. It's fun seeing children start exercising too, but when a four year old rolls their eyes at you and say's, "You are exercising!", it makes you smile.
What works for you? What are you doing to keep motivated? What is making things more pleasant on your quest for a healthy weight or maintaining it?

Am I looking forward to playing sports with my grand children? No Way! They are barely into elementary school. Think it out.......... If I start training myself now, I have a better chance of keeping up with them, five years from now. (We all have the right to dream.haha.....Or will I be able to do it?)
I can still catch them running from me, especially when they tell me that I can't. But let's face the facts: I won't grow any taller, and their legs are getting longer all the time. I think I'm too old to be playing tag, but my grandchildren are very influential. emoticon .

I will need some motivation this summer , I have a lot of projects to finish and and many to start. I work full time ,I have a hobby farm and I also make teddy bears and floral arrangements. Not to mention the veggie garden and three acres of lawn to look after all summer. I will find it difficult to eat properly Instead of just eating something quick and easy. I am trying to pre plan my meals so it will be easier to eat clean. I will have a weeks vacation at the end of the month so I will be making meals and freezing them. I want to stay on track, I am feeling so much better now than I did even a month ago so I have the energy to keep up with my busy summer schedule. I will be busy til October and then November will be slower then December is busy. I promised my self that I would stay organized. I want to be at my goal weight by October,,,I can do it and so can you!! We can all be healthier and more energetic! :)

Let's keep it happy and positive. Let's help each other out along this road. What motivate me is interaction with people on the same journey that I am on. I must thank thank KAREN, Jem and a few others for their support through this weight loss/ health effort. They help me stick to it, stay with it.
What motivates you? We are a team. More communication between members of this team would be great. Let's make this team a more beneficial experience. Thanks. emoticon

Good morning everyone!! I am up bright and early to get stuff done before I go to work this afternoon. Sometimes my house work sufferers from neglect when I get busy. I am learning to find a balance that allows me to get everything done without stressing over it. I try to relax now instead of worrying about what I don't get done, I celebrate (in my head) on what I accomplished! It leaves me feeling more positive and less stressed! Win-Win! Have a great day everyone!!

Ground chicken burgers are awesome! I grill them on my counter top grill. It is kind of like the George Foreman grill but bigger and it doesn't have a lid. It cooks them perfectly. I also love ground turkey and ground pork. I am not a fan of beef but I do eat it occasionally. Grilling the burgers are the easiest way I found an no added oils. I make extra sometimes and take it to work for lunch. Just heat it up in the microwave, you can top it with anything. I put lettuce and tomato. Really good.

Woo Hoo! 14 pounds? You are doing good. Taking note of ground chicken burgers, I wonder about how you prepare them. Do you fry it, broil it, bake it, what? I am very curious about food idea's, preparations and such. This is the perfect place to share this, as you know.

Hi there! My motivation is just to be healthy. I have stopped eating junk food , and I am eating less processed food. S far everything is going well. Being in my forties I have realized that I am not twenty any more and can't eat what I want when I want. So far I have lost 14 pounds and starting to feel so much better. I eat a lot of fresh veggies and fruits. I also eat a lot of pork and chicken. Ground chicken burgers are my favorite! :) I have a hobby farm so I am always active, so I just have to keep my eating habits under control. My joints are thanking me! :)

I am motivated to feel better.
Looking in the mirror opened my eyes to the fact that I'm over weight. Well, that doesn't seem to motivate me enough to lose weight this time. I feel like crud. Achy joints, muscle spasms, trouble breathing, dizzy spells.
Last night. I thought, 'good eating habits and exercise have got to become a better part of my life'.
When I woke up, it was still fresh on my mind. I danced with my grandson for over half an hour.
I turned on music and did side steps, plie's, petit jete's, squats and such to work my lower body, while I worked on a crochet project. I didn't even count that as exercise, but things like that will add up in the long run.
After dinner, I turned on some music. Aerobic dance with light weights was enjoyable.
It's amazing. I've consumed less than 900 calories today, yet I'm not hungry. I've eaten 'healthy' food, but I didn't get enough of come of my vitamins and minerals I need for the day. I'm working on figuring it all out.

I found motivational tips at www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/exerc
is
e-motivation

As I started reading about being realistic, keeping track and not expecting perfection, I realized that it needed to be shared.

What motivates you?
When I make a change for health reasons, such as diet, sleep, exercise, etc......, I can't look at it as 'a job', or 'a chore' that I need to do. I need to make the good changes that I make become habit. To make it become habit, I need to tell myself, "I'm doing this because it enhances my ability do other things."
