CREATEME1, keep up the good work. You are such an inspiration.
The time I have with my grand children is great, but It's work at times. When they went home this evening, I was exhausted. I took a four hour nap. I was afraid my weight had gone crazy because I'm achy all over. It's due to the cold weather.
I put my aches into a nice hot bath. I weighed and measured myself. I'M CHANGING!
Drinking more water is relieving the water retention. I'm not so 'puffy' now.
Let's have a great day!

So I so need to take a new photo, my hair OMG well it has now gotten cute, and my face has finally taken on the thin look! Not thin, skinny but still I am amazed what that last pound lost showed me. Hope to hear some things from the rest of you! Take care and take care of you!

We had a major dump of snow and the wind was really, really hard and fast. I went out side for a smoke. Was plastered with snow. I changed my jeans they were that wet. I changed into jeans that are mine, but OMG they are huge! Delight! I wore them the rest of the day and kept pulling them and shapeing them and delighting myself all over again! I have lost that much weight! Take joy in your small steps! Take Joy with you everywhere!

I noticed today! That my newer skinny jeans are now baggie! How great is that! I have been buying 2nd hand colthing for a few years now as I lost weight. I am 7lb's away from my goal. Only 7 llb's. root for me! I want new Jeans!

Whoo gal,you take the cake. Slow your thoughts, get a grip and tell your story with a beginning, a middle and an end. Now your upset with the hubby and also delighted with him.
Let us start with that!
Now I am going to copy this and move it over to general discussion.
I set this "Tell us what you notice" forum up for silly things like your watch band is loose or your seeing your toes! Silly but they matter and you are making progress. The changes you notice for you are very important!

I woke up, I ached. Why? Not enough activity. I'll be 45 year's old next month and I woke up this morning feeling like a stiff jointed old lady. My man thinks I'm crazy. I jumped out of bed and ran to the living room, where he was watching the news. I reached up stretching to the right, then to the left.......... after doing stretches, I did planks and reverse planks. I did some toe touches and other stretches. I was busy for a while.
He started to talk. I quickly interrupted him saying, "This is what I need to do to motivate myself and put myself in the right frame of mind to lose this extra weight. If you want me to lose this extra weight, I suggest you don't say anything about it."
I think he wants me to lose the weight, he hasn't talked to me all day.haha He's talking to me. He did go silent for a bit though. He has not mentioned my weight. Speaking up, to keep him from saying something negative helped me alot. CREATME1's huddle post, "Turn off negative", is an extremely powerful, motivational tool for any journey. It's working great for my weight loss/get healthy journey.

I was doing pretty good for a few days there. Yesterday though........... I ate 2,507 calories! Is there a reason? My dog was very sick. She wouldn't eat. I had to watch her.
As I felt the stress 'consuming my heart and mind', my face consumed 4 Toaster Pastries.
There is NO REASON for my over eating!
I finally got her to eat a ground beef burger I made for her. Then she ate a cup of dog food to. She's doing better now.
Did I blow it with my diet? No I didn't. Did I mess up my diet? Yes, I messed up. Can I really lose weight with the mind set that I have. YES, I CAN! I see the mistake I made, and I'm not going to let it hold me back.
Stepping on the scale and 'noticing' a decrease in my weight would of been much nicer, but as I see my strength to continue my weight loss journey after messing up is pretty good too.

At the end of last month, I stepped on the scale. My hormones had gone wacko. I looked in the mirror. Oh no! I had a new identity. I had become part of the "Blimp" family. I have feared stepping on the scale again.
Too scared to in the mirror, I put a tape measure on the bathroom counter top. I took a shower, got out, stepped on the scale, took my measurements and......... I my mind was put to ease.
I'm glad I didn't give up. Woo Hoo! We can do this Team!

Today, I found a new me. I was dressing this morning for a maybe job interview. A job that asks you to apply in person. I have been a stay at home Mom for almost 12 years. I have thought myself into this box about being gross and fat and well you know, just down on yourself. So again with the dressing part. I tucked in a shirt, just to see. Wow, I am not as bad as I thought about myself. I did not know! I have only lost 4 Lb's this year but shape has made a great deal of differance. I have been so set on looking at the scale, I really had no idea. Really no idea that I am looking pretty darn good.
Please, all of you, take a step back. Be healthy.

I lost more weight. What have I noticed? My measurements don't seem to be changing much, but my shape is. Staying active, playing with my grandchildren is the right way to trick myself into exercising.
I like the feeling of needing to push the stroller over a mile to get back home, being totally exhausted and hearing a little girl say, "We did good Gramma!"
Chugga88, I actually crave the healthier food when I exercise. I was afraid to step on the scale because I ate some ice cream.in the past week. Keep up with your efforts. You motivate me to continue with mine. Thanks.

Jodene, Great to hear that things are going well; and you're happy with your food, and exercise. I also notice that exercise seems to control my appetite. I'm not sure if really does or if I'm just more aware of eating healthier when I exercise.
As far as being sick of your belly is concerned, just keep doing what has been working for you. Keep up with your exercise, and don't let up. Every body really is different, and I have a really hard time losing weight. I just keep trying to do the right thing with exercise and eating, and I know that I will eventually reach my goals. These are lifestyle choices and I think the trick is to adapt to these habits and continue them for life. Keep up he good work and you will reach your goals.

I have noticed this healthy eating tastes good. Why does healthy food make you leaner? I think I found out! Chopping so many veggies has got to add up to a good calorie burn.haha
Exercise seems to have controlled my appetite a bit. Maybe not. It might be all the water that I drink now. The changes I am making seem to be working for me.
I am disgusted with my belly also. I'm working on it. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of it.Every body is different, but I think I have found what will work for me.

I was feeling disgusted yesterday with my belly, it seemed like it was getting biggggerrr, ugh!

This morning I weighed in and measured and guess what? My waist was smaller! That's why my belly seemed bigger! Talk about laughing out loud!

It was good to see you at the team huddle Jodene!! Your weight gain could be extra muscle if your measurements are less. Muscle weighs more then fat. I would say...just keep at it and it will eventually change. The moving around more...outside or inside is good!! Are you eating enough fiber? Whole grains, fruits & veggies help you feel fuller. Protein us always good as long as it's not too much. It's all in the balance and of course we're all different inour metabolism. Keep us posted!!!!

In less than 2 weeks, I've gained 3 pounds and lost 2 inches off my waist. What? This does not seem right. The changes in activity have been caused by the weather. If I can't take my grandchildren out side to play, we need to be active inside. I'm now the 'Grandma Monster'. We growl, we run, I turn into the tickle monster. We also turn on music and do jumping jacks, toe touches, leg lifts and all that.
Why am I gaining weight yet losing inches? Any reasons or idea's?

I finally understand my diet and exercise. I feel better emotionally. I'm no longer wondering if my changes will work.
My legs hurt right now. I decided to start running again. I haven't ran for years. I ran 1.4 miles in 12 minutes. Over did it!
I'm working it out. I'll meet my goal. emoticon

Notice all the small things, they add up to the better you!
Good grief, I have hips but still have a great big belly to hide. The belly is in the middle and stands out but I also have a defined hip bone on each side. How to get it evenend out? MORE CARDIO?

Gals doll and ladies, please notice and share. I have been trying to hula hoop with a kid hoop. LOL! What a riot. I can keep it going for a short while every once in a while and I sweat big time trying to do this! I did notice after a few weeks a more defined waist line, not getting rid of the belly pouch, but my sides were more defined. And when I brush my teeth less jiggle, how great is that? Less jiggle, you have got to love that... I do!!!!

Brushing teeth, I brush then shower. (waiting for water to heat up) I have been doing different scrunch type stuff. I do not jiggle as much now while brushing. Small steps! As always I am in aww of each an everyone of you. Live!

My drivers licence, shows a much chubbier person then I am now. I bought a hunting licence today. It was noticed! How can you not feel good and not want to continue getting better? On a hike today, I was able to run ahead of my husband and not feel done in! He was easy on me, but I did run and block him! He called me a trail hog! He is not an easy person to give in to!

The fact that I ran, that I ran on the trail was a giddy feeling!

I scored today, in my own mind, I scored.
We each need to find those moments and do with them as you need to! Find your score!

I noticed that the body is slimming down and shaping up, my toosh is looking pretty good.

I have noticed that I am getting more looks than before. I have been called Hottie, Hot Stuff, Hot Mamasita. It reminds me of the younger years. A guy I work with told me that I needed to go get new pants....mine were too big. YEA!

I have noticed since doing the Swimsuit Bootcamp different areas of my body are starting to show shape. I am seeing muscle in my arms. My calf muscles are hard. My waist is widdling to show inverted instead of rounding out. LOL!

I worked out with my nephew Saturday with sprinting and went bowling. Don't know which one it was but I am REALLY noticing muscles in my legs, stomach, and but that I haven't been using in walking and jogging. OUCH! I can bearly move. You would think after months of working out I wouldn't hurt but I do.

I have noticed more excitement and dedication since I have made the decission to start jogging. I think also it has helped get over my plateau. I have been getting comments on how skinny I am getting. I know I am not where skinny but it is nice to hear. My pants are so baggy. I really need to go shopping.

I noticed that I have lost some of my motivation.I was doing really well, until I went to Savannah, and it stopped raining around here. I got to work all my scheduled hours, so I am tired(an excuse) and don't"feel like doing what i know I need to to get healthy."

I slipped on the ice and fell, hitting part of my butt and back of my thigh against the step. Big bruise!!

You are all too funny. I understand about the image in the mirror and the granny panies.

Today I wore a top that I have worn many times to work....I had more complements on it. I notice people tend to comment on things when you are slim or slimming down. I accepted the complements with a smile and a thank you. But I was thinking I have worn this before and nobody commented on it. Maybe I was just having a good day. LOL!

I got my new business picture taken - and it's me, and I like the picture! I haven't liked pictures of myself - EVER!

Even though I've gotten off track just a *tiny* bit, I still have lost a lot and it's made a difference in how I look. I think we get used to seeing the same thing and prepare ourselves to see that same thing, and possibly think we are fat longer than we actually are!

The same thing happened to me when I went from being skinny to being fat. I didn't realize how fat I got until I was walking in the mall one day and walked past a big mirror - I accidentally saw myself in the mirror, didn't get a chance to prep myself to see my skinny self - snuck right up on myself! LOL It was a horrible realization.

i noticed that i wore a shirt a size smaller ( was in such a rush i just cut the tags off and tried it on, when it fitted i decided thats what i was going to wear to see my friend minister at her church) in addition i need a matching skirt and decided to try one i had to donate because it was too small,*grins* that fitted too, and one more thing i noticed is that the scale can be VERY discouraging even though you're losing weight *sigh*

I notice that when i walk up the 4 flights to my apartment i'm not as winded as i use to be, i wasn't even able to speak for a few minutes after i came up,at times i thought i would pass out, so thats one of the things that stand out for me, not to mention my jeans are less snug

Well, sorry it took me so long to reply. A muffin top refers to the extra skin that doesn't fit into your pants when they are too tight, and the extra skin hangs over the top of your pants, like the top of a muffin that hangs over the cupcake wrap.

Thank you all!

Boobs, I have only had them since being fat and now they are disappearing and I am morning that fact. With them is also going the butt! I will not miss it! I noticed I do not open the sliding door as wide and feel like I am slipping through it with more ease!
Taking time for myself and yes moisturizing and yes it is easier to reach around my legs!
Notice every thing! enjoy! Lets all get curvy!

Yes, Amy you made me laugh out loud with your question.

I have noticed I see more of my underwear now. You can take that any way you want because either case is probably true. But I am referring to the underwear in my dresser drawer. Since being heavy I was wearing silky undies so I could SLIDE into my pants. Now I have been able to pull out my cotton Victoria Secrets again.

Also since being heavy I let my skin get horrible. You know the dry flakey skin because you didn't want to think about your body. Now I lather it up every day with lotion because I don't have to lift up the extra fat to get in all the creases and folds. And since walking it is fun to notice the hard muscles being created and the new curves being created. Okay that kind of sounds kinky but I wasn't trying to be.

You want funnies huh? Well, my boobs fit in my bra now, instead of spilling over the top. And my "crease" that I have to powder so it doesn't chafe, I think I may not have to powder much longer.

I know you all have a comic side! I love that we have all worked hard and notice our own changes and deserve each and every Kudos we get! Now, let down your hair and be gleeful!
I no longer have to lean backwards over my butt! Now is that a good thing or not?

How about a comic or funny thought and a serious note!
We are all in the same boat--losing weight, getting healthy, drinking water, exercising, cardio, calories, motivating! I do not want any one to be embaressed by any means--EVER. We all have so many same issues so notice them and be glad of the changes!

I have noticed my pants having extra material around the hip area. I can now fit back into my dockers (non stretchy). I have noticed with all the walking that my leg muscles are much harder. My angle wings (flappy part of the upper arm) is firming up. Funny story with the flappy arms. My nephew being about 5 looked at my arm and turned to me and said what is that??? I looked down and I said what. He pointed to my saggy fatty flapping in the wind part of my arm. I turned to him and told him those were my angle wings. He was satisfied with that answer. LOL!
I have also been having problems with my favorite bra digging into my side right under the arm pit. It was raw. I thought the under wire was coming through. Since losing weight it isn't doing it anymore. I do need to get a new one though. But I am very attached to this one. LOL!

Hello everyone,
I noticed that my clothes are so much loose on me and that I have more energy all day long, before I used to feel very tired around 3:00p.m. Overall 20 pounds gone make a big difference.

I noticed the other morning that my robe pocket came around the front of me, instead of the side!

When doing wall squats I no longer have to lean backwards over my butt for my shoulders to hit the wall!
