Hey Fititgirl, you are doing great. I have actually 7 lb's to go but that is as of today. I haven't posted or tracked for months. I am going to track my food because I have been on an up and down roller coaster ride and can't fit into my jeans. It is to cold to wear my capri's. So my jeans are tight. But not for long. I am not stopping till I reach my goal by eating good foods.

Mostly the basics.. Trying to stick to my calorie range.. Drink atleast 8 cups of water.. and Exercise for atleast 45 minz/5 times a day.. I try to do it everyday but sometimes I don't make it in the weekends.. When I am craving for junk food, I don't eat them all together.. I try to eat some and put off the other for later... That way I stay in my calorie range.. SO it is pretty much the basics...

Hi Cathy,

Another long week ahead... It never ends! I just hope the summer doesn't fly by and it's September before we know it. But to tell you the truth, I am already looking forward to the fall. I love it when the leaves start to change color and the air smells so sweet. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here!! I still want the warm weather for now.

How are you doing?

Hi Linda,
We have my husband's, my daughter's, and my sister in law's birthdays the 6th, 2nd, and 5th of July so it is always busy for us. We had a grill out at our house on Saturday and the whole family was together. It went well. We skipped the fireworks, but our neighbor's supplied us with a nice little show. All we had to do was look out the window. Take care. Love, Cathy

Morning Cathy,

It's been crazy here with rainstorms almost every day. All of a sudden the skies open up and there's a massive downpour and before you know it, it's over. Strange weather...

I'm trying my best to workout whenever I get the chance. Did my total gym workout this morning and there's a powerwalk scheduled for after work.

Each day is a new day, right?

Hi Linda,
I just finished timing for 5 hours for my son's first swim meet. He is 8. It was on and off rainstorms, so that made it interesting. I need to do some cleaning this weekend and of course I will work out! Hmmm... why was that last! Love, Cathy

Morning Cathy,

How are doing this week? I'm hanging in there. Kind of tired from these early mornings but doing my best to exercise and eat right.

Good idea on your plan. If anything, hopefully I can at least maintain since my body doesn't feel like giving up any more weight at this time but you never know!!

How is your time off from school? What have you been doing?

Hi Linda,
This is my second time in NYC. I went last summer with my husband and a group of teachers. I have an idea... How about if we really go for this last bit of weight and do our best to lose what we can before we meet. We are coming July 21st which gives us about a month. What do you say? I am thinking this plan would give me such great motivation! Love, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

You have a great vacation planned. That's what I like to do on a vacation... everything!! I'm not one to lay on a beach all day long with a book. I need to see things and walk everywhere and meet new people and experience as much as possible.

I would love to meet you and your family. I think that is a wonderful idea and I already asked my husband and he's all for it. Is this your first time traveling here?

Hi Linda,
We are going to a Yankee Game. We are seeing Phantom. We are going to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We are going to tour Ground Zero, Trinity Church, St. Pat's Cathedral. We are going to walk the Brooklyn Bridge and go to the top of the Rock! We are also going to do an NBC tour. We are staying at the Radio City Apartments. Any chance on hooking up? Love, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

I'm happy that you are doing so well. It makes me feel good. We both have our ups and downs but thankfully it's at different times - have you noticed? Funny...

I will check out that book the next time I'm in B&N. I don't dedicate enough time to reading but will change that in the future. I enjoy reading and learning and expanding my mind. It's liberating and helps me to stay in control. I guess it's that whole knowledge is power kind of thing. You are doing very well and definitely have your eye on the prize.

NYC!!! I love it there. I'm about 20 minutes or so from Manhattan but haven't been there since last year. I love the museums, theaters, parks, restaurants, and just walking around observing all the people and events that are always going on. You will have such a great time. I can see why you are so excited! What are you planning on doing in the City?

Hi Linda,
You have to get this book: The Rules of Normal Eating. It is by Karen R. Koenig. It is not just about eating better, but it helps deal with a lot of emotional baggage and understanding why we have it. I read some and then I think about it. I love it and it is really helping me. I am exercising regularly, and I am making good choices for eating! Check it out! I may help with the slump! We are heading for NYC with the family next month! I am so excited! Take care. Morning Cathy,

I'm trying to fight this feeling of discouragement but it's a tough one these days. Also the motivation to exercise is not there either. Not sure what the problem is.

How's your book so far? I'm still reading South Beach Supercharged as a refresher and enjoying it but not really benefiting from it since those pounds are sticking like glue!!

So what are your plans for the summer?

Hey Linda,
It is great to hear from you! I am doing well with a fitness and eating plan. I am reading my Normal Eating book. I like having this plan for my health, because it helps me adjust to the downward shift of school ending. I like you am still hovering and flirting with my goal weight. However, together we can get there! Love, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

It's hot, humid, and just plain awful out there the last couple of days. How's the weather by you?

Other than the weather, are you enjoying the summer away from the classroom? Hopefully you will have more time now to focus on yourself.

I had a minor setback while visiting family in NC even though it was planned but still not feeling mighty proud of my behavior. I didn't go real crazy but probably just enough to gain back the several pounds I lost on SB these last couple of weeks. No scale time for me right now!!

Onward and forward for me. Actually for the both of us. "REACHED OUR GOAL!" I like the way that looks in print. If only...

Linda

Hey Linda,
First of all let me tell you how good it is to see a post from you! I love hearing from you! I am doing pretty good. Exercise is going well and my eating with breakfast and lunch. Evenings are still tough for me, but school ends for me on Friday (Did I tell you I am a teacher?)so I am hopeful I will be able to double up on exercise and also work hard on my emotional eating. I know they are big goals but I am hoping to accomplish them and finally get rid of this last bit of weight. Then we will have to change our post to "REACHED OUR GOAL! Take care! Love, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

I am staying positive these days and it feels good. I'm getting extra support too which always helps. Have you gotten out of your slump yet? Hope so.

South Beach is definitely my way of life choice and has been for several years now. I mainly stay away from anything white (bread, rice, pasta, potatoes) and stick with lf or ff dairy and have protein with each snack and meal. Phase One is restrictive but only lasts for two weeks even though I pretty much stick to it during the week anyway.

How are you doing this week?

Hi Linda,
The graduation went very well. I am really proud of Chelsey. It is so great to hear you talking so positive and taking control. I didn't do so well this weekend. In fact, I am in the fifth day of a slump of not exercising. I was wondering if you could tell me more about the South Beach Diet and phase one. I would love to refrain my brain! Take care. Hi Cathy,

So how was the graduation on Saturday? How proud you must be of your daughter. Last weekend was beautiful which makes it even harder to get back into the swing of things.

I can be the same way about the weekends. I love being off from work but sometimes I actually miss the structure of the work week. I get in a lot less trouble and exercise more during the week. I did exercise all three days over the holiday weekend and for that I am happy with myself.

Right now I'm sticking with a strict Phase One of South Beach mainly to retrain my brain a bit and to get back to the basics of the plan. All is going well so far. I needed this to get back in control and in a better frame of mind.

How are you doing this week so far?

Hi Linda,
I always smile when I see your post! Yes, I hate being sick, but to tell you the truth, and knock on wood, with my Healthy Lifestyle Habits, when I get sick it seems like it is not as bad and for fewer days. I have also not been doing well in the sleep area. My daughter graduates from high school Saturday, so there is so much to do! I have emotional eating problems, and major portion distortion problems. I bought two books to help me with this problem, but it is as if I am avoiding them because of some kind of fear. I try to exercise everyday. If I miss a day, I forgive myself, and then try for the next day. My worst times are weekends when I have the most time. Weird huh? When I am in my regular weekly schedule I am able to get up and do my exercising. On the weekends, I find many other things to do. 6 days is what is recommended by most. Well take care. Love, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

How are you doing this week? I'm doing pretty well actually. So glad I'm over that nasty cold/sinus dilemma. I hate being sick, don't you? I do have more energy even though my sleeping patterns are up in the air for some time now. Two lousy nights, one decent night, three more not-so-good nights, and so on. I used to look forward to going to bed. Now I dread it. My best meals are the first two as well. I always have the best intentions during the day at work but by the time I get home from work, sometimes I don't do so well. We both need to work on that it seems. I never looked into emotional eating problems, I think I mainly have a portion distortion problem. Maybe you too? I need to exercise more!!! Six days a week is what I need. What do you think?

Hey Linda,
You even sound more energetic and more like yourself. I am so glad! I have been exercising, but it is almost like I exercise to eat. That is why I am not seeing the scale move in the right direction. I know I have to eat better, too. I don't log in my food because I have done that before and I know I will be over. I have some books on emotional eating that are in the future for reading. I seem to be avoiding those, too! Perhaps I am afraid of what I might find out. We are getting the house ready for my daughter's high school graduation next weekend. Otherwise, I am planning on exercising and eating well my first two meals all week. Take care. Love, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

Feeling better... almost like new... almost ;-)
I am eating better but still the scale doesn't like me. Actually went up a little bit more. Not too sure what to do at the moment except for getting in more exercise and looking forward to the warmer weather so I can get out more for my powerwalks.

Good... all good, that you are feeling peppy. I need that to rub off on me and don't you worry about a thing, I will be there for you whenever you need me.

What is this about the scale issue for both of us. Do you understand it? What are we doing that's so wrong. No clue, but I hope to turn things around soon. What's the plan for this coming week?

I am feeling peppy right now. I hope you know this goes both ways. I am super motivated right now and doing well with my exercise and healthy lifestyle goals. However, when school ends in a few weeks and I get off this virtual treadmill, I will be turning to you for the pep talk! You better be up and running by then. By the way, my scale is also going in the wrong direction! However, I look at all the good things I am doing and don't let that get me down! Love Cathy

Linda,
First things first! You need to get yourself healthy again! Don't worry about working out until you feel better. Look at it as a "get better" break and you know you will get back into your Spark Healthy Lifestyle habits soon. Also, stop weighing yourself until you are back into your normal eating and exercising habits! Take care. Get well soon. Love, Cathy

Morning Cathy,

I'm still fighting with this nasty cold so not much exercising going on. I was gearing up for a workout this morning before work but I can't seem to stop coughing at the moment. Not sure what I'll end up doing. I haven't been eating much at all this week so I got on the scale to see what's going on and I'm up another pound. Oh happy day...

I'm not in the best frame of mind right now. Must be the cold medicine. I need a few days to get back on track. I need to get thru this week at work too. I'm going in on Saturday to catch up on my work since I called in sick on Monday. I hope I feel better by then.

You are doing great!! Keep it going!!

Hi Linda,
I am glad you decided to work out. After not working out for a week, I felt exactly like you. I was in a cycle, and I had to do something to get out of it. I love how working out makes me feel. I knew I had to do something for me! Also, I know I am going to lose this last bit if weight. I am going to follow Spark Healthy Lifestyle habits the best I can. However, it will take some time. I know I will have good and bad days, but because I have all my Spark goals, if I don't do well with one, I can feel good about myself because I accomplished the others. I have adopted the goals as healthy lifestyle habits and changed. Sure I still have things to work on, but I need to be proud of what I have done so far. I was up to almost 150 pounds when I started. I am now hovering around 130. I want to get to 127, but I am not going to let the scale dictate my life. I do let it motivate me though! Well it sounds like you are getting back on track. Take care. Love, Cathy

Morning Cathy,

I'll get back in the groove as soon as I get over my cold. Even though I was home sick yesterday I did get in an hour workout (stepper, total gym) and hopefully tonight after work if I'm not too tired, I'll get out for a walk. It's supposed to warm up today. The sunshine always helps my mood. It's day by day, week by week for me. Just you being here to talk to is a big help. You are like my secret pen pal. How are you doing? How are you back in the swing of things?

Linda,
As I told you I hit the same bump a couple weeks ago, but now I am back in the swing of things. You are right about the cycle and how one thing leads to another when you get off track. What can I do to help? Love, Cathy

Morning Cathy,

All my effort and good intentions are really put on hold today. I had to call in sick today and believe me, I never miss a day at the office. Hopefully after I rest up a bit I can get in a little workout since not much of that happened over the weekend but with this stuffed up head, not sure much will happen today either.

I should focus more on the goals that I do meet each day including exercise, diet, even getting in those healthy oils and my ff milk and apple each day. But as long as the scale doesn't budge or much worse than that, moves in the wrong direction, all my effort and discipline in the other areas just doesn't matter to me. I have to admit that because I know it's true. When I see the results that I want to see happen, I will then say it's because of a combination of everything that has brought me to where I am right now. Some way of thinking, huh...

Right now I'm just being extra hard on myself but I'll snap out of it. I always do. I just hit a bump in the road.

Linda

Dear Linda,
I went though this exact same thing about two weeks ago. I also was feeling depressed. I didn't workout for a week. When I didn't work out I felt more depressed-you know the cycle! Then I ate more because I wasn't working out. The great thing about all of this was that I got on the scale and the weight gain was not all that bad. I got myself back on track with exercising and decided to start reading a book I bought on Emotional Eating. I am so proud of myself that I am accomplishing all of my other Spark Goals-exercise, sleep, water, fruits and veggies, it is just that darn eating and it may take us some time and each other to get this one accomplished. I love hearing from you. Love, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

Still battling my endless quest for reaching my personal goal and not progressing at all at the moment. Not liking the scale today if you know what I mean. For some reason my appetite lately has been increasing and it's catching up with me. I can't put my finger on the cause but know that I'm one step away from a bout of depression and nothing good ever comes from that. How to turn this around? It's such a fine line and hard to follow. At least for me it is anyway. If I eat too much... I gain. If I don't eat enough... I lose initially but then it comes back anyway and sometimes a little bit more. And so on. I can't help the age issue and know that's a factor in all of this, but I can't let that interfere with my self discipline and being in control even when I don't really want to be. Sometimes I wish I could step outside my body and stand next to me and help me to understand better how to handle and deal with my weight issues. I know best what's right for me. How can I be my own worst enemy one day and then the next day, be my main support system and the only one I can truly depend on. That's a lot to handle all in one weekend!!... Gotta love this rambling on ;-) ... But I'm sure you know what I mean. It feels good to be able to express my thoughts like this. Enjoy your weekend!! And Happy Mother's Day!!! Your friend...

Hey Linda,
The more we write, the more I learn how much alike we are. I keep track of sleep, steps, exercise minutes, water, and fruits and veggies. However, I cannot get myself to commit to the calories. I did it for a while and like you, it drove me nuts and was so time consuming. At one point I tried to zero out and do more exercising and consume less food! That was crazy! I figure I know what the end result is anyway-WAY OVER! I thank God for my exercising or else I think I would have a lot more to lose. I know this is why I am plateaued. I know this is why I can't lose these last pounds. I know I eat emotionally. I know I eat when I am stressed. I know my portion sizes are too large. I know I eat way too much after school and in the evening. I know I eat because things taste good, and not because I am hungry. All said and done I KNOW a lot about my poor eating habits. The thing I don't know is how to turn them around. Keep writing. Perhaps we can figure this out together! Cathy

Morning Cathy,

I have checked out the Lifestyle scale but not that often. I'm not as disciplined as you with keeping track of everything I do and eat - not the same way as you do it anyway. The only thing I actually write down in my journal each day are my exercise minutes and what type of exercise. I've been tracking that for years now. And calories... I tracked once for Weight Watcher points (to see where I'm at) and that drove me nuts!! I've put myself on so many starvation diets in the past and fear doing the same thing if I start counting calories. On the other hand, it wouldn't hurt to know approx. how many calories I do consume each day. This is like a full time job sometimes isn't it? And now with that said... it's time for my morning workout! Have a great day!!

Hi Linda,
You stuck a cord when you said that you feel guilty eating anything at all. I used to feel like that before Spark people and the healthy lifestyle goals. Have you ever looked at the Healthy Lifestyle scale? It has the Spark goals on it. If I go on that each day and mark off my goals I feel pretty good about what I have accomplished for the day. This has helped me to tackle one goal at a time and get it "under my belt." I am doing well with exercise, sleep, fruits and veggies, water, but my calories are often not where they should be. This is where I need to work if I ever want to lose those last few pounds. I like the positive feedback I get from accomplishing the other goals. That way I don't get discouraged. I think this eating thing has deep roots, like the weeds in my landscaping. It is going to take more work and more time to get it under control. I am sure that we can do it together. Have a great day! Love, Cathy

Morning Cathy,

I don't get the encouragement I need either. It seems most women my age are not as concerned as I am about being healthy and fit so they don't realize what's involved or maybe they do and that's why they don't bother anymore to try to take care of themselves. To me, that's no excuse. That was also one of the main reasons why I joined SP so I can talk with other members for support and advice.

I was hungry before bed last evening also but didn't overdue on the snacking. I still feel a little guilty about eating at all... I used to just say no to myself and not have anything. I can't seem to do that anymore.

I think we can both do better today. It's not easy being a work in progress, right? We are doing just fine...

Linda,
I have been feeling the same way! It is so hard to get out of bed and workout. I did it all winter, but have had a few slumps in April! I don't know what is wrong with me. My husband keeps saying that it is that time of year. Well that doesn't seem like a good enough excuse. We did the early dinner thing last night and it went well! I was hungry before bed and had a pop cycle and a handful of low fat multigrain wheat thins. Let's keep encouraging each other. I need it so much now. I feel like I have to be there for everyone else. It is nice to have you there for me! Cathy

Morning Cathy,

I think you have a good plan. Definitely eat dinner with your son and then your husband can eat whenever he gets home. This way, you are already digesting your food and it won't sit in your stomach all night long. I can't eat too late at night. I always feel awful the next day when I do. Now that the nicer weather is almost here, I'll be walking every evening after dinner too. I just wish it wasn't so cold again this week. I need to get this program in gear. I wanted to start walking in the mornings too but again, it's cold and raining. It's almost May and I'm still wearing my jacket and we had to put the heat on again last evening. And still not sleeping well... will this ever end?

Hi Linda,
I think we are in many ways on the same journey. I don't eat during the day, because I teach. I read while the kids are having snack. I am trying to tackle the after school eating and dinner portions right now. I am trying cleaning when I get home and making dinner to keep my mind off of food. If I need a snack I have celery and light string cheese. This is going so-so. However, I think you may be onto something that our bodies are hungry at that time. I often wait dinner for my husband, but by the time he gets home I am full from snacking. I think I might have to start making dinner for my son and I and then my husband can eat when he gets home. This isn't really the Leave it to Beaver setting, but he is out mowing lawns and often doesn't get home until late. Well anyway that is my plan. I think if I eat a well planned dinner soon after I get home, I will be better. What do you think? Cathy

Hi Cathy,

I'm so glad we have this chance to talk. You are helping me so much by being here to talk with and comparing ideas and suggestions.

You are so strict with your eating plan. You definitely have much more control over your portions than I do. I eat all day at work to keep my energy flowing and my mind alert. All healthy foods of course and always protein with every snack and meal. I also exercise in the mornings and feel that is where I get my appetite from at times. If I don't eat enough during the day, I'm way too hungry by the time I get home from work and can't seem to eat enough the rest of the evening. Do you think that happens to you as well? I can't control my dinner and snack portions as well if I don't eat enough protein during the day. I crave protein more than any other foods and then healthy fats (love my peanut butter and almonds) after that.

Also lately I'm not getting enough rest. If I'm tired, the carb cravings can take over so right now, that's my biggest battle. My sleeping habits are sucky at the moment. Probably age related and a little work related stress thrown in.

Sometimes I don't know which angle to start working on first!! We can figure this out together...

Hey Linda,
I have missed you! I started out great this week, but didn't exercise yesterday at all and only did strength on Wednesday. Demands at work... I have had to get there early. I don't follow any eating plan. I eat the same breakfast-3/4 cup Total, 1 cup of strawberries, skim milk (1/2 cup), and 1 and 1/2 cups of low sodium V-8. I also take a weight control multi vitamin. During the week I eat the same lunch-1/2 low fat lunch meat with tomato and lettuce on Sara Lee Lite wheat bread. 1/2 cup of Fiber One yogurt, 2 bananas, 1/2 cup no sugar peaches, 1 cup of carrots, 1 granny smith apple. I also drink 10 glasses of water per day. I exercise in the morning 50 minutes cardio and strength two times a week. When I get home I am hungry, but am now eating more healthy snacks and portions. I have been getting food from a make and take place where my daughter works and I chose foods on the 500 calorie chart that are more healthy. I am working on portion control. My tough time is getting home from school/work and wanting to snack and also waiting for my husband to get home to have dinner. These things I need to change. It sounds like you are doing so well! Thanks for the inspiration! Take care. Cathy

Morning Cathy,

I was just posting and it disappeared so I'll start all over again!!

I am getting back on track with my exercising and also strength training again which is always a plus. I'm a little on the sore side at the moment but it feels good.

How's your back? Back pain is awful. The last time I put my back out I couldn't exercise for almost two weeks.

Cathy... what type of eating plan are you following? I do a combo of South Beach and WW Core... works for me even though I do cheat here and there. And of course, still trying to lose a few more pounds along the way but this body of mine is way too stubborn to see things my way.

I know how tough it is to see your family munching away on snacks and trying your hardest not to join in. I deal with that every evening.

Have a good day at work!

Hi Linda,
I did exercise on Saturday for 50 minutes on the treadmill and yesterday I was outside cleaning up my landscaping for 2 and a half hours. My back was killing me. I had to come in and rest for a bit. On the eating side, I didn't do too well. I need to learn to say no when my son and husband indulge. Sometimes I think I exercise so I can eat. I also hate feeling this way. I am happy to be back to work and hopefully on track with my eating. I did my strength routine and now I am off to the bike for 50 minutes! Hope you feel better soon! Love, Cathy

Hi Cathy,

Not such a great weekend exercise wise. My stomach was acting up all day yesterday and I could barely leave the house. And this morning no workout because I don't want that awful feeling to come back again before heading out for work. Talking about stress, today is going to be a killer of a day at work.

I don't even keep oreos in the house. I believe they are the perfect food! The temptation would be too much. I don't want to go near a scale at the moment since I'm not back in my groove yet. Have you hopped on lately? Scary...

We can definitely help each other. I think right now I'm just getting lazy and I hate myself this way. It's not like me. I know better. Maybe this week we can start back on track?

Linda,
Right now I am also going through this! My husband said it is work related and it could be the rainy weather. I feel less motivated now than in the dead of winter. I have exercised this week everyday, however I think my exercise has been supporting my eating habits when I get home from school and in the evening. I wonder if there is a world record for how many double stuffed oreos eaten by one person in a week. It is as if I am eating to reward myself, but I can't quite figure out why I need a reward. I am also worried about how long it will take me to undo this setback. Perhaps we can help each other through this before any more damage is done! Cathy

Cathy,

I'm in this rut and I think work related stress is not helping the situation. Maybe I'm just using that as an excuse. I have to rise above that but also my lack of sleep is interfering as well. I know this is only temporary but in the meantime, the damage that I could do in a week or two will take months to undo. Does this ever happen to you?

Linda,
Isn't it amazing how it moves so quickly up and so slowly down? I am exercising 50 minutes most days. My bad eating habits occur after work and in the evening. I eat an amazing breakfast and lunch. Sometimes I think the reason I snack and eat too much after work and in the evening is because I am trying to reward myself for getting through the day, exercising, eating well so far, who knows? I am trying to get to the bottom of this! I also noticed some upward movement in the scale this week. Not good! It seems we both are good Sparkers and know what our problems are. Now what will we do about them?

Cathy... Portion control is one of my biggest problems. But right now I'm also slacking in the exercise department as well. I still exercise 5-6 days a week but not as intensely as I did over the winter and that is making a big difference. You know how that scale likes to move in the wrong direction...

Hi Linda,
I am feeling the exact same way! I have been so good all winter and maintained my present weight with lots of exercise, but not so good in the eating department. I wonder what it is in the air? I have exercised this week, and met many of my Spark goals. However, I still need to work on the eating if I want to lose these last few pounds. Cathy

Hi Cathy,

June 16th is a great goal date. Originally I had set my goal date for the first day of spring. Oh well, we can see how well I did with that!! Anyway... maybe I will change that to the first day of summer. Right now I'm having a little trouble with staying motivated even though the warmer weather is finally here. I have to focus... focus...

I fully understand about stress and sabotaging our weight loss efforts. I know I fall victim to that as well and beat myself up over it all the time. Everything is going along smoothly and according to plan and then you know what happens...

I am happy to have a buddy with similar goals. And now I'm heading out for my powerwalk. No time like the present!

That sounds great! How should we go about this? I know I am afraid to lose the last bit, because of the unknown. I am aiming for 127. Sometimes I think I sabotage my healthy lifestyle habits with my stress eating. I do great on everything else! It will be nice to have a buddy!

I truly believe that a positive attitude is 100% of the battle. I am amazed as I continue to adopt healthy lifestyle habits how many fewer mind games I am playing with myself. You sound like you are in it for the long run and totally dedicated. Let's do this together! Cathy

Hi Cathy,

These last pounds are hanging on for dear life!! Sometimes I feel my body just doesn't want to let them go. At least this struggle keeps me on my toes. I love your attitude and have decided to open up my heart to accepting the fact that I can reach my goal also. A positive attitude is half the battle, right?

This is a great team and of course you are welcome! I am keeping motivated with looking at all my Spark goals, especially the ones I have more control over like exercise, drinking water, and eating fruits and veggies! We need to keep it positive so we can keep going and get to the last few pounds!
