Ears - p free
Face - I now have what resembles small patches of fine dry flaky skin that are much more pleasant than the old thick crusty plaques. Oddly I have many more small patches than previously when I had large plaques. It is much easier to cope with and seems to be improving by the day.
Scalp - this is the winner of the most improved for sure!!!!! No more itching, period. I colored my hair and had no icky dye stained plaques sitting on my scalp and eventually working out into my beautiful locks in crusty clumps. I now have what appears to be much more like dry scalp. It is still embarrassing but I am more comfortable now than I've been my whole adult life. The itching from p made me SOOOOOO anxious and I fussed with my scalp A LOT!!!!! I used to look like a mad woman always reaching up into my hair line and feeling, rubbing, picking and scratching. I feel so much more normal. I am infinitely more at ease. I think that the itching went straight to my brain and made me nuts.
Tongue - geographic tongue...what? It was the very first thing to clear. No more worrying that people will see my tongue and think I have some kind of creepy disease. I can now stick my tongue out at anyone I please without worrying about being labeled a freak, wait, maybe not, lol.
Fingernails - I would never ever in a million years have guessed that my stubborn cuticles and nails had anything to do with my p...SURPRISE...it did. Ahhhhh...I thought that I was more rough and less feminine than most women because my hands were always kind of "rough" looking despite my having very nicely kept fingernails and beds. My cuticles have always been like taming weeds, I'd do them at night and wake up to a mess in the morning. I would NEVER have made the connection. I have pretty fingers now :)
I feel like I have a new lease on life. Things that made me feel disconnected and odd are no longer. Whew!!! I feel as though I am far from done with progress and will keep this topic updated.
The only changes I have made:
I also eat peppermint candies every single day. They actually calm my belly a great deal as well. I still use jojoba oil on my face, scalp, and hands every single day as previous. I use much much more cinnamon in everything I eat that can use it...even Mexican dishes. I also have been eating a lot of curried foods (tumeric) and may soon add a tumeric supplement to my regimen.
