20 miles today riding in sunny southern California weather!

I am thankful for God, my DH, my daughters and my granddaughter. I am thankful that I can ride my trike, that i can see, that I have food to eat, that I have a house to live in, that I have friends who live me.

Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped.

Merry Thanksgiving Everyone!

I rode 27.35 miles in 39 degree weather.

I am most Thankful for my wife and family - who put up with my time consuming, crazy addiction to trike riding!

Thanks GHK!
I can't take credit for the volunteer work our family does on Thanksgiving: it was my husbands idea. He LOVES doing volunteer work. I would rather stay home but I know that if I come with him I will enjoy meeting and serving people. So I go. . . . most of the time.

Team - for those of you that have other plans. . . . . .

Any distance counts - even one mile!

Seriously though, it is Thanksgiving and family comes first. If you can't participate, you'll be with us in spirit.

We're doing a turkey trot so I'll be running an 8k. I could I suppose ride to the race, but people are coming so I have to get back home and brace for impact.

KJEANNE ---- You TOTALLY rock. I recall volunteering at a local shelter one year ... I should do this again ... what you do is great.

Ask her how she feels. She might like the idea of serving others on her birthday. We only spend about 3 hours on Thanksgiving morning working. It sure helps us to be more thankful for what we have when we see how we can touch the lives of others; help them to have a better day.

Here's a awesome website where you can easily find volunteer opportunities in your area:

That's such a cool thing to do! I've been thinking about volunteering on Thanksgiving but this year wouldn't be a good time to start as it happens to ALSO be DW's birthday.

My husband and I do volunteer work on Thanksgiving morning - we hand out meals for shut-in seniors. We are usually home by noon. I plan to ride to the location then back again. Should be a total of 20 miles.

Since we "work" on Thanksgiving day we celebrate on Friday.

Ack...I will be in travel mode that day ... and I suspect car rides do not count!

Sooo ... on this ride, perhaps I will be the person at the end of the virtual event, cheering you all on ... handing out finisher medals ... making sure there's extra bananas (turkey banana too for this day).

:D

Ok, I have a hike planned in the morning with my brother then food then we are playing HORSE and I have been practicing my 3-point granny shot. I am almost flawless with that shot :-) BUT, I will bring my bike to my mom's house and go for a ride. I have no excuse, weather wise it will be about 65 and sunny.

I'll shoot low, for my mileage that is :-)

10 miles!!

Does indoor stationary / spin / trainer riding count too?

Things are shaping up for a pretty miserable week in the Northeast!
