Thanks, everyone. I think I'll start with some biking safety glasses. I have a coupon & now I know what I'll do with it. Thanks!

You might think about getting safety glasses instead of sunglasses. The safety glasses have to fit like a goggle to protect your eyes and are usually treated with anti-fog stuff. You can get them with a prescription and they come in different tinted lenses. I have a pair and they are great especially in very cold weather - they don't fog up and they keep my eyes from getting cold and tearing up.

There are anti-fog substances that are designed for ski goggles. CatCrap is the only brand that comes to mind. And yes, I am enjoying the image of a person walking into a sporting-goods store in Houston and asking if they sell CatCrap. Kinda like the fun I had asking auto-parts stores in New Orleans if they sold tire chains. (I was fixing to drive to Seattle in spring.)

My cycling glasses will fog up when I come to a stop in really cold weather, but they clear really quickly. But I live in a brush steppe, which is a lot like a high desert. I get whiny when the humidity goes over 40%.

I wear prescription glasses, & many years ago I boughtt a prescription pair of ray bans. I'm in Houston & haven't yet run into that problem. Yet is the key word!! :)

I think this may be an area where el cheapo sunglasses don't cut it. I've been told by bike club members that cycling sunglasses are worth the investment.

However you know ME! :-)

While I may do some further exploring, I have since upgraded from dollar store sunglasses to spending several dollars on a pair that is vented and has small slotted openings in the upper outside corner of each lens. They do much better to avoid steaming over.

I live in Houston where the humidity is often high. Often, my sunglasses fog up so bad that I can hardly see - especially when I stop at a traffic light or whatever. Today, I guess because the humidity was so high, I ended up having to take them off. I've had to do this a few times and I don't feel safe riding without them.

Are there glasses that don't fog up like this? Or is there some kind of anti-fog that you put on your glasses?

Thanks for your help!
