You are so right Don!

Hey, your car should feel priviledged to have the pleasure of some two-wheeled company! :-)

2Wheeler - no way! You win hands down I think....your Outback would have cost more! (I had an Outback once... I sooooooo loved it!)

So I am thinking ... we don't have our bikes and bike racks on our cars as accessories ... we have CARS and TRUCKS as our BIKE accessories! Wooo woo!

ghk1962 - I must have the 2nd most expensive bike carrier--bought a Subaru Outback to carry the bike (& the kayak).

Yup, chain lube for squeaky hinges, etc. Deceased innertubes around top of garbage cans to prevent bag from falling in. Piece of a broken carbon fiber seatpost (bike shop refuse) clear-coated and made into a handle for pull-down stairs to garage attic. Lots of night rides! Husband works 2nd shift, so most daily rides start at 9:30pm. Rarely over 5 miles, but we're out THERE, not inside!

Ok...crazy? Errr... wifey and I bought a beater truck to haul stuffs ... gravel, bark dust, miscellaneous building supplies...

Is that our truck's primary usage?

Errrr .... NO!

We put a bike rack in the bed...and now...we have the MOST EXPENSIVE bike carrier EVER!!!

Don't discount night rides. Rode singletrack at night for the first time last year...wow, talk about a new dimension to our sport!

I confess, I used chain lube to fix a couple of squeaky door hinges in the house.

Pain is weakness leaving the body.

How do you eat an elephant?

I will not fail.

I have learned a new use for my Light & Motion VIS 360 atop my bicycle helmet:

It works great for mowing the lawn in the dark!

Who wants to use valuable daylight for mowing the lawn when one could be cycling? Around this time of year daylight becomes increasingly precious!

So I thought, I'll bet there are other crazy things us bicycle nuts do in the pursuit of our love of cycling...care to post any of yours? :-)
