I have Velosurance, and am so glad I bought the policy. It gives me great peace of mind.
I paid $500+ for my Biria Easy Boarding bicycle. It is an unusual frame, and attracts quite a lot of attention. Even though I use a Kryptonite U-Lock with a cable to secure the wheels, I was afraid that it might be stolen. Also, I just started to ride again at the age of 67 (after not riding for 30 years.) I wanted to make sure I would be covered in case of accident, etc.
I am very glad to be insured on both counts.
Their web address is: https://velosurance.com The address and phone number are 8201 Peters Rd #1000, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33324 (954) 773-9099
They are underwritten by Merkel, also a bike insurance company.
Although the web address says they do not insure bikes valued at less than $700, that is NOT true. You can insure for any amount.
My policy costs $103 per year, payable annually.
I think it is so well worth the money!
