Awesome deal! Did cyclists get behind this effort and make lots of noise to make it happen?

Time for me to brag about my city: Long Beach CA. We have separated bike lanes in downtown on two of the major streets east-west streets.

They were a test project that ended up decreasing car traffic speed and decreasing accidents. They are still in place after one year.

Wow! Good article. Imagine if every town and city where feasible would do what's needed. How much gas would that save and how much healthier would we be?

Thanks for sharing.

10 Brilliant Pieces of Bike Infrastructure

"A new video on American bicycling infrastructure, produced by the website Bicycle Dutch, has been making the rounds among cycling advocates recently. "Cycling isnít really taken seriously," says the narrator in a sad tone, as if observing life on some alien planet.

So what does truly good cycling infrastructure look like, for those of us who don't get to experience it for ourselves?"

These are just SO COOL! Time to jack up our local politicians to get crackin' on building some of these innovations in our own communities!
