Have fun restoring your bike. I just finished restoring a Falter folding bike I found on Craig's List. My LBS took the bike apart for me. I took home the components and scrubbed away to rust with steel wool and foil (for the chrome). I ordered tires for www.biketiresdirect.com - they have the best prices. The LBS put the bike together for me and put a clear coat on the frame. It's looks great!
Here's a link to a Falter bike that similar to my bike: I do not have fenders or lights on my bike. It's green so I named it Kermit!
Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped.
definitely looks very similar, hopefully
I think that "K" may be from Kalkhoff.
Look at the 20th picture on the following link.
The "K" looks the same.
I'm not sure if the fork is meant to look like that or if it is badly bent back.
Something to check into.
I haven't actually seen it up close yet, hopefully tomorrow to know what is built into it. I'm not planning on changing out the gears unless they're rusted but i may very well put newer sram or shimano derailleurs and 175mm cranks on it for more comfortability and reliability. replacing the entire cranks and rears would cost 300-800 dollars shimano ultegras are like 700. I know it needs new tires and i'm not sure if the wheels are straight if they aren't I might put a nicer carbon fiber wheel on it which won't have spoke puncture issues etc.
Nice bike! Sorry, can't help with the brand. Unique front fork.
I suggest restoring it rather than change it to a 10 speed with upgraded components. Looks like it's all there. Do the rear derailleur and crankset have brand names? Might be a high end bike. Adding a better crankset to a 10 speed won't make it any faster.
definitely not a raleigh owned several of them and peugot always have the french flag on them somewhere. I would love to be able to update it but unless I can figure out what it is there's no way to know what's compatible :(
hard to tell until you look at the front under the handle bars on the frame.. I was going to say a Raleigh but the frame is kind of thin.. maybe a peauguot? any ways good luck with it are replacing and updating the components?

Your Never a loser until you quite trying.
ok so I'm picking this bike up Tuesday morning for 10 dollars it looks like something I can fix up and i have my specialized hardrock in the meantime I just wanted a road bike. No one including some of the most hardcore cyclists I know can tell me what make bike this is. I've tried to find old logos for kona and kuota with no success but I can't imagine it's one of them anyway. Check out the link and it's like the last picture is a closeup of the logo philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/3843
