Wow, small world. Hope those riders were okay and that your DH had a good race!

I was at this race, just around the bend when it happened as a spectator, my husband was in the race. I heard the commotion, it's not the first time we've seen a deer take out a rider. There was another rider who miss a foot bridge and was seriously injured.

Your encouragement is greatly appreciated!

A former boyfriend rounded a curve on a rapid descent and encountered a moose. The moose was annoyed & offended. The ex was terrified. He managed to stop before hitting the moose and get underway again before the moose decided what it was going to do.

Love God. Love your neighbor. Change the world. It really is that simple.

I know this likely doesn't happen often, but the idea of getting broadsided by wildlife...sheesh. Have you seen the one where a Red Hartebeest levels a XC racer? The perils of our sport.

Deers can be SCARY! My friend and I were coming down a mountain (local) later in the day on the road bikes...Bambi and mother deer hopped the road several yards ahead of us. It left us shaking of what could of been! Thanks for posting.
