Personally, I love the pink. There are too many black /grey bikes out there...I should know--I ended up with one of them. I am just going to have to customize the handlebar tape and water cages, I guess! But the pink is way cooler than the darker option. Can't wait to here what you think when it gets put together and you can take it out!

Yeah, I'm with you - I usually avoid pink myself, but that pink is pretty snazzy! Nice ride. Let us know how it is after that first ride. How exciting.

The pink is totally off the wall for me. When I FIRST saw it months ago, I thought Nuh uh... I'm not girly. LOL My current mtn bike is jet black. The pink has grown on me. Definitely eye-catching!

At the shop we tend to carry a few Marin mtn bikes, and the Giant road bikes with a few Giant mtn bikes in the mix. I keep having the opinion that when it comes to road bikes, I like the Giants.. more bang for the buck. But when it comes to a very nice, unique mtn bike, that Marin is a contender. I have a Giant OCR C3 road bike, and that thing is the most comfy bike.. love it. think Marin is more known for the mtn bikes than the road bikes, but I'm a bit ignorant on many things still, so I'm sure someone will be correcting me.

All I can say is we have had no issues with the marin mtn bikes sold at the shop, but we haven't carried the road bikes so can't form a huge opinion on them. I'd ask Dave but he's not around right now.

That does look like a pretty sweet ride. I love the pink - you just don't see that a lot.

I got my FS for V-day '06, a jamis dakar xlt. Funny as it may sound but I am a better rider on it than either of my two hardtails.

I hope you enjoy it! emoticon

Looks like you'll be getting a pretty sweet ride! Do you know much about the Marin Bike Company? I'm on their website looking at their road bikes, and they look pretty good. Their Natural Fits look sweet. I'm currently riding a Raleigh, and would like to upgrade eventually - we just bought what we could here locally. Hope the new bike is what you want! emoticon

I've been drooling over this bike for quite awhile now. My SO, who owns a bike shop, has seen it in person at a bike expo in Las Vegas last fall. I have been in the market for a new bike for awhile now.. a full suspension bike ~ I have a hardtail and a road bike, but finding myself in the need for a FS for certain rides.

And so yesterday we ordered a pearl pink Marin Rift Zone. Check it out.

I guess there were not a ton of these made, which appeals to me. I do not want to be riding a bike that every other person has. I love that whole unique factor. LOL I don't see myself doing a ton of immediate upgrading, which is sweet. Dave tells me that the picture does not do it justice, that it's a pretty awesome bike.

And so it'll be here Monday. And we'll build it up and see if it still totally appeals to me. I hope so.. I hope it rides as sweet as it looks. If not, it will be sold at the shop and I'll continue looking. Though I'm reasonably sure I'm going to like it.. I've ridden other Marins and found them to be very nice bikes indeed.
