saw your link for cycling stretches. About 3 weeks ago I couldn't go up stairs, hardly walk for pain in my hip. Since I'm 72 I'm thinking "hip replacement!" Oh No! Have had 4 acupuncture appointments hoping that would help. Dr. Remarked the problem is IT Band. Hah! Off to the computer for stretching IT band poses. Hip very much better now!! besides stretching I'm also using my rolling pin to "roll it out."
Have had an achy back for years. couple years ago was sent to PT for a knee problem. PT had me do 6 weeks of stretches. Knee problems godd AND so is achey back. Just stretch!

"As cyclists and triathletes get closer to key races, one of the workouts I use to improve lactate threshold speed and power is a criss-cross workout. I like this workout because it requires extreme focus and control of intensity. Additionally, it helps athletes experience easing up on intensity and then ratcheting it up again."
"One area that I find is still largely misunderstood even though well studied is the area of protein for endurance athletes. Most of my clients come to me with nutrition regimes that include too much protein and fat and not enough carbohydrates (their main fuel source). There is this fear that we need MORE protein, but in reality, excess doesn't benefit the endurance athlete."
"Below is an excerpt from the book "The No-Drop Zone: Everything You Need to Know About the Peloton, Your Gear, and Riding Strong" by Patrick Brady. "It's time to get pumped for mountain bike festivals. These six events promise a wide variety of trail rides, clinics, races, gear and beer. Looking for something else? Find another mountain bike festival."
