...would be so cool to get out to CA for some cycling!
As I've shared here: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messagebo
Nothing nailed down yet for me, but kicking around a few possibilities:
Five Hundred Miles Across New York: www.fanyride.com/
Bike Ride Across Georgia: www.brag.org/
Probably return to the New York City Century: nyccentury.org/
DEFINITELY return for my 3rd or 4th Great Finger Lakes Bike Tour: www.southerntierbicycleclub.org/fingerlake
And possibly return to my hometown area for the Apple Cider Century: www.applecidercentury.com/
No way will I do ALL of these...hoping to nail either the FANY or BRAG, but not both...the wallet doth protest too much! :-)
Hoping my Spinning classes, stationary bike & elliptical workouts, occasional walk / jogs along with upper body strength training will find me ready to roll when the weather cooperates!
NOW one of my cycling buddies just inspired with another AWESOME sounding ride:
Pittsburgh to Washington DC via the C&O Canal towpath and the Great Allegheny Passage! www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH5ierJJHb4 www.atatrail.org/ bikewashington.org/canal/ www.thirdwave-websites.com/bike/2010-pitts
The biggest conundrum for undertaking such an adventure is always: How to get from home to the starting point and from the finishing point back home. Fortunately my biking buddy may have a contact who is willing to be our wheels! Crossing my fingers...been SO ITCHING for that multi-day bike touring trip!
Now with SO many possibilities out there, how in the WORLD does a person make up his mind?!?!
