I'm working on my upper body, too. DH wants to do a kayak tour this year and I'm gonna need it. You are going to be busy this summer.

Wow...great goals...you've really been pouring it on!

I'd love to jump into kayaking someday...when the wallet allows! Finally sprung for some cross country skis (used)...now all we need is snow! :-)

My 2012 goals are to (short term Jan-Feb), stay motivated to ride in the winter. Looking for about 400 miles in January and 500 in February, but that totally depends on snow or lack thereof.
For the year....want to meet or beat my 2011 mileage of 7260.
I want to do some big climbs in my area that I didn't do last year, and possibly increase my avg speed . I am currently a C+ rider, 13-15 mph (on my own), and a B rider, 14-16 with a group. But I'd like to be a B rider when I am alone.

Working on my upper body strength by doing daily push ups, trying to get ready to start kayaking this summer with my family.

Nothing much in the way of firm goals here beyond racking up more miles than last year (2,032), dropping pounds so that I'm ready for a longer organized ride such as:

the FANY (Five Hundred Miles Across NY) www.fanyride.com

or the BRAG (Bike Ride Across Georgia) www.brag.org

or my own home-cooked road trip to the 1,000 Islands and back.

No way I could do 750 miles in January. Perhaps in April. Great goals everyone.

Great goals! In January I focus on keeping our home clean. When I'm finished with something I will clean/up and put it away before I do the next thing. I also plan to run 31 miles which will help me start the year off strong.

I'm in Beverly. Those will be my goals, too! I need to do more than 25 lbs. though for the year 2012, but that will give me a start! And more riding, too. I've got an idea and may try to implement it for riding more emoticon

Well this year certainly has flown by. Seems like we just did January resolutions and here we are again. I have given my resolutions/goals for this year a lot of thought. There aren't many of them, but I find them easier to stick to if they are realistic. My goals for the year are:

1) lose my last 25 pounds
2) give my house a really good cleaning and severe de-cluttering
3) stick to my strength training weekly schedule

As usual, I will to break my yearly goals down into monthly increments and post them the first of every month. I wish all my Spark Friends a happy and safe New Year.
