Not specifically about bicycles but:

Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

We used to tell this to customers who complained about the price of quality bicycles. I always thought that it was an old Buick slogan but more recently I read that it is the Gucci family slogan.

This is not a "cycling quote" but just a wonderful message I heard recently from a friend.....

"It's not important what you ATE or DID NOT do between Christmas and New Year's....but rather what you EAT and DO between New Year's and Christmas." emoticon

“Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”-Lance Armstrong

I read this one and had to share: "If you want to be at the top .1% of your sport, you have to be willing to do what 99.9% of your competitors are unwilling to do." Gordon Byrm
You can apply this to just about anything else in your competitive life.

Heard another good one about properly fitting bicycle seats:

Speaking of food....

We say "we are an eating club, with a biking problem".

That's one of my favorites, Don!

How about the ever popular..."Bike to eat and eat to bike!" lol

I'll keep my ears open for any more good ones.

Hey how about starting up a message thread filled with quotes about cycling that we come across which are inspiring, humorous or otherwise notable?

Came across this one today, which I couldn't agree with more heartily!:

"It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle."
