Stationary bike 60 mins. this week PLUS:

Back to SPINNING CLASS! Woo hoo! They revived my Sat. morning Spinning class and I loved pumping it up for 60 mins. this morning!

Hi everybody,

Today I was in the mountains with the local cycling club guys, for approximately 3h30', and we covered about 26 miles of rough terrain.

It was satisfying.

I finally got a day off!!! We did 12.7 miles on the mountain bike, can I count those????

One Day at a Time:
1) 10,000 steps daily
2) fruit & vegie at every meal
3) aerobic or strength train every day
4) 7 hours sleep daily
5) check in with SP daily

___Mar 2014 goals:
1) lose 4 pounds
2) ride 200 miles
3) clean/organize one room and closet weekly
4) complete 1 UFO

12/5: 6.9 miles (30 minutes stationary bike)
12/7: 7 miles (30 minutes stationary bike)
12/8: 7.2 miles (30 minutes stationary bike)
12/9: 7.4 miles (30 minutes stationary bike)

I use the True Fitness CS800 upright bike www.truefitness.com/products/commercial/bi
kes/25/cs800-upright-bike
with the rolling hills setting cranked up to the max (level 20) setting.

Even then my RPMs are between 120-130 on the flats, 90s on the middle and 70-80 on the max uphill.

I played with the custom feature and discovered one can REALLY crank up the resistance to a level where standing climbs "as if" one is on a spinning bike can be done. Have to start doing that more often soon!

12/5: 3 miles bike, (45 minutes spin bike)
12/6: 1 miles bike, (20 minutes spin bike)

Sorry for the confusion, I know it is hard to track miles on a bike when it is on a trainer or a spinning bike so for the challenge sake I was thinking
for every 15 minutes your spinning that will equal one mile.
for example
I was on my bike this morning spinning
it was 20 minutes so that is one mile
the other day I was on 30 minutes so that is 2 miles
hope that helps

Mile Goal:200 for the season

Miles rode :12/7 1 mile

Total miles: 1 mile

Same question as TENISWHIZ.

If we're doing this just to track miles with no accurate conversion... well and good, but I walk about 1 mile every 15 minutes; cycle much more.

I'm thinking it's more than a mile per 15 minutes. I do computraining which is similar (possibly higher intensity, but I've done both and I don't see it as that much more intense) and I put on 18 miles in an hour.

Sounds like a great challenge for winter though! :) But please explain the mile. Maybe this is what you are coming up with for the challenges sake and not a true conversion? I'd like to hop on but need to know how to post the goal. Thanks...
