Congratulations! There are so many cool and fun aspects of cycling, you're getting out there and that's what counts, don't sweat the mileage, you'll be racking it up in no time! What's funny is how time changes when you're on a ride, at the end, typically I don't realize how long I've been out.
Every journey starts with a single step...er....pedal! I hope you enjoy many more miles on your new bike!

Today I went on my first official ride. Sure I've ridden around my neighborhood, but today was my first official. I rode for an hour today and went about a total of 4 miles. I know that's not a huge number, but for an uber couch potato I did a lot better than I thought I would. And I have to say I LOVE my new bike! I just recently sold my old high school huffy and after a lot of research purchased my new cannondale quick 4. I love it! It rides so smooth and I find that I am able to ride a lot further on it then I did with my huffy. lol. I can not wait to be able to go for another long ride like that. And definitely can not wait until I can pull the miles you guys do. I eventually would love to sight-seeing and camping from a bike, I think that sounds like so much fun.
