Keep up the great work! You may find this biking thing to be addictive. I went back to the bike a few months ago and started with 8 to 15 miles rides. Now . . . I did two 30 mile rides this weekend and want to do a 50 mile ride on my mountain bike sometime this fall.
I'll need a 12 step program to stop biking this winter . . . Or I will get killed riding on the snow and ice!

So, my last few bike rides, I've done between 11 and 12 miles, and felt pretty good after them, getting all of them done in under 55 minutes. Figured after mile 8 today that I felt good enough to finally make my first attempt at a 15 mile ride.

The bike route I did actually has some decent but brief hilly areas, and theres two 2 mile stretches that are all on about a 5 degree incline. For a new bike rider, that tends to be quite the challenge for me, but I've been getting better and better. I know its childs play for most people on that trail and most people here, but baby steps! Everybody starts somewhere.
Theres a trail about an hour from my house thats 14.5 miles down the Narragansett river from Providence down to Bristol, RI, and the whole ride is either waterside on the river or through a forest. From what I hear, its a beautiful ride. Maybe my goal of doing that trail will happen before the summer is out !
