I wanted to but it would have been about a good 3 hour drive just to get there. It sounded like an awesome thing to be involved in.
I will be riding the Chattanooga, TN ADA's Tour de Cure this Saturday. Either the Metric or Full Century...not sure yet.
I wanted to participate, but frankly, I forgot about it. For those that did participate, good for you.

You bet! Our bike club had 21 members and new, non-members queue up in a steady, soaking rain for 8 miles!
It was great to have us all there for our sober, symbolic funeral procession.

Rode 6.5 miles this evening in the "Ride of Silence" here in Fort Myers, FL. This was my first time participating. Last year was the first I heard of it. We had a woman cyclist killed by a motorist a week and a half ago...four in the county this year.
I believe we had about two hundred plus riders show up. Quite a memorable experience and I hope to ride again next year.
