I tested my "rain tolerance" today... not bad. I rode about half of my 16.5 km commute home in the inclimate weather and took the bus the rest of the way. I think I actually would have ridden the whole way, but it was getting late and I was hungry. ;)
Happy Bike Month!
Your body is a machine, give it the fuel it needs:
*Eat before you're hungry, drink before you're thirsty. The machine works better when it's well primed.
*Plan ahead. You wouldn't drive through the desert on a quarter-tank of gas, would you?
*Quality in, quality out. Proper nutrition will help you get maximum benefit from your workout.
I have a 45 mile (one way) commute to work, so I won't be riding that any time soon (but maybe some time in the future!), but I take my bike to the train station every single day, rain or shine, ice or snow.
Will be upping my mileage in May, for sure!
