I caved. The weather has been downright awful and in some cases I wouldn't feel safe at all even going around the block.

Plus I got a cold again.

Oh well. I did 14 days (plus the last 5 of March) in a row, covering over 250 miles in that time, so I am not too disappointed.

Been on it! Indoors, Ice, snow, rain, sleet, and about 30 degrees below normal. I hoping to get out tomorrow as it might get up to 40's, and maybe 48 on Sunday. Only 2 dry days predicted for the next 5.

Rollers are keeping me going. Computrainer is causing me some pain, that little man has no heart.

Got in 45 min, then to the gym. Still tight but working on the stretching. This always happens in the early season when you ride a few days and neglect to stretching. Body tells you not to forget.

I did a little over 2.5 today. Cold, clammy, cloudy, windy, and I felt a bit of pain in my right knee. I immediately went home.

Tomorrow will be 1/2 mile at most (around the block) to give it another day's rest. I hope it was just a temp thing.

Got in 90 min. Spent time doing some climbing. Legs are pretty efficient for this time of year thanks to my old rollers but I'm really tight. Even with stretching I can feel it. Mostly the IT band, Quads, Glutes, and Psoas.

35 miles today. It was the first long road ride of the season. I didn't use the lightweight road bike but instead settled for the heavy steel touring bike.

I have three weeks to be sure I'm comfortable riding the 40 mile five boroughs ride in NYC on May 1st with #3 son who is flying in from Austin, TX.

Riding most of the days in April should be easy for me because I'm retired and most of the things I do every day are within five miles of my home. The long road rides are simply gravy, or even better, chocolate sauce on my ice cream. All low fat of course.

I had a full day of yard work to do that couldn't be ignored any longer, but I got out and did 1.5 around the subdivision in 45 mph winds. Even without the yard work I wasn't gonna do more LOL. That was awful.

Woohoo, great job everyone! It's nice hearing what you all have done!

I commuted to and from work on Friday for about 17 miles total. Saturday I did some errands and rode about 5 miles, and today I biked over to pick up some food for dinner (always a good excuse to get on the bike ;)) - another 4.5 miles.

Keep it up! I think I have rain in the forecast for at least the next week - eww.

I'm glad people are liking this!

I am awful at self-motivation so I'm hoping this will help keep me accountable and I will actually accomplish it!

I was worried about it being cold but didn't even think about rain until I heard someone at the bus stop this morning say it's going to be awful on Friday (April 1) :( Sad.

Can you ride in doors? We are not clean yet, still ice and snow. This should have been gone but just won't go.

Hi everyone! I found this site about a week ago and signed up. Basically the deal is you pledge to get on your bike and ride every day of the month of April.

Check it out and sign up if you want! I'm not much into Twitter but they encourage you to tweet about your rides.

I'm a little nervous since it's still freezing around here, but also excited to get back on my bike!
