Learn to swim properly. Complete my first Olympic Tri (hopefully June). Complete an IM 70.3 (hopefully September). Bike 100 miles. Complete 2 marathons I've also committed to... (May 15/October 30)... whoops.
1. Not break a collar bone this year (both have broken at least once now). 2. Not blackout after a race. 3. Do a full rando brevet series this year. 4. Break my current 12 hour personal best for mileage. 5. Reach my final goal weight. 6. Keep the family happy while I'm doing the above (means more very early and late rides).
I know its not alot but I have started to ride three days a week to start as I am pretty much a beginning biker.I absolutly love it though and enjoy my time riding.I have been walking 45 minutes daily.so off to a good start.My goal is by springtime to ride this beautiful bike trail in the woods near worlds end state park.If I keep it up my goal can be accomplished
Do a 50-mile ride by the end of the season (which here is in late September). I figure I can get to it pretty easily as long as I focus on my endurance and make sure I don't get bored (especially easy to do during the winter on the indoor cycling trainer). There's also a 30 mile race/ride that I'd love to get involved in during June. I think the longest ride I've ever done was 15 - 20 so I'm really trying to step it up this year!

My New Year's resolutions for 2011.. don't CRASH my bike like I did last Fourth of July weekend.. four days in the hospital,Ten broken ribs and a collarbone.. and also one broken helmet.. back on a bicycle when it warms up again..I hope

I'd like to cycle more, but due to tornado watch...won't be doing that today! I should of joined folks on the trail, yesterday, but our tree had to come down! Ok...2011: I use a notecard 3x5 to record everything I eat. Then I post it on Sparkpeople. I did this every day in December. I exercise, about 3x a week. Now, I'm bumping up that to at least 2-3x weight strength training, and 3 days of aerobics: cycle, walk/run, dvd exercise. My calorie consumption is sometimes too low, so every 3rd week, I'm going to try to get it higher. I embarked on zero sugar for December and will continue that. Most of my food is fresh organic veggies and fruits. If I can't read a label I don't want it. I'm at a plateau for a few days, but not discouraged as I took off 26.5 lbs. in December. My BIG GOAL: is to reach my first goal of 136 lbs. Then I want to set another to get in the 120's. I've been trying to lose weight with and without spark people for a really long time. I joined a group here, and that really spurred me on to not eat after 7pm! I'm in and that's why I shared so much with you, because it's working!
cycle 20 miles per week. This is steep for me, but I need a real goal to push myself into riding on a more frequent basis. I tend to go and then let off on the riding. This year all that is going to change.
