Versus is offered on dish network and direct tv, if you know someone who has those maybe they'd be willing to record it for you. It's usually about 3 hrs coverage daily and its repeated a few times during the day.
I think Contador owed his victory to lance for staying with the Team's strategy last year. Although, C will not admit to this. C decided to run his own race toward the end and it paid off for him. It will be interesting to see what Astana will do if they are not willing to be team players.
I think Lance's team (Team Radio Shack) was hand picked very well. I think they are all team players and know their defined duties very well.
It will be interesting to see it play out.
I am on vacation and the TV does not have Versus. I may have to go to the bar and see if they are willing to view the TdF for my fix.
You can watch it on versus channel on TV if you get that, Versus also has live streaming video for the whole tour for 29.95, there are a couple other sites but I don't think anyone has it for free. You can also do a search on youtube, almost every day they have highlights...it's better than nothing if you can't get the other ones. For a cyclist Lance is considered old, although I think there is someone a couple years older on the tour too.
I haven't watched on TV before, but I have seen the cyclists doing the final laps in Paris, once. It's amazing how fast they are. I believe a Canadian has qualified this year, so I might pay more attention.
Persevere. Even if you fall on your face, you have moved forward.
I watch the TdF. It is unreal how fast those guys can ride! I love to watch how the stages play out. The mountain stages are my fave. As for Lance, I wouldn't look at his family life as something to emulate, but the guy is/was the most talented stage racer in history. You gotta give him props for winning 7 Tours de France in a row. This year...prob. not going to happen. AC and the Schleck brothers may have better legs in the Mountains. I suppose we'll see how it all plays out. Gonna be fun watching!
Technology will never replace teachers, but, teachers that use technology will replace those that donít.
I agree with you on Lance either love or hate the guy he really has brought the public to be aware of a few things. It is a scary sport to watch the way they fly around those curves and draft off of each other!!
Before this year I'd never been able to watch it on TV...didn't get versus, now that I do I really love watching all the races. I'll be watching the TDF every day it's on, can't get enough LOL. I find it a little annoying the way they are constantly hyping Lance vs Contador, but if it gets people interested and watching, I suppose it's all good. Mapmyride.com has a contest of sorts where you submit your ride for each day the tour is going on and they give prizes. Versus also has a contest where you submit your dream team of 15 for the tour and you get points depending on how they do during each stage. Nice prizes there too. Lance (love him or hate him) has been such a fixture in cycling for so long, and so good for the sport, I wonder who will take his place.
No one is strong enough to win without using his team. That may be Contador's problem this round - the competition with Lance last year was bad enough, but as you point out, Vino is a complete wild card. Watch for Schleck as well.
