That is a good start! Add gloves- change to clip in pedals, a good pair of bike-shoes/sandels, a cat-eye or equivalent and get out and ride! A camelback is good for extra water in warmer weather, a few packs of sportsbeans and hammergel or bar for long rides.
This is the best food for a long ride, for the night before: 1/2-1cup of white rice, 4-6oz of broiled chicken/turkey or fish, and a steamed veggie like broccoli. Got it from a trainer and it works everytime for my next days ride.
