Goals for 2010
Ride 4250 miles
Lose 40 pounds by May 31
Lose 60 pounds by Dec 31
Do a one week tour on my bike in June

You can mount the sensor on the back, but not sure if the signal will reach. You can give it a try. DH said Cateye has one with a 5 meter range. There are some made for recumbent that should have enough range.

I have a simple $17 variety wireless from the LBS. It has big numbers I can read while riding. I keep a journal after each ride so if it goes out I just get a new one.

Happy New Year...What do you use on your bike in the Winter to track your miles?
I have a Bike computer but it is wired so I am in the market for a wireless.. What do you recommend?

I'll have to think of some BUT you must live in a warm climate....There is no way I could bike 2,000 miles averaging 37 miles a week in New England.. Unless i count my indoor trainer miles.
If i averaged 50 miles a week from May through September I could maybe get 1,000 miles in.. That's the goal I will go with...
the rest is : Getting to gym 4 days a week.. 2 days spinning throughout the winter and first part of Spring, weights 3 days a week ..

A post on another forum about walking 500 miles got me thinking (not always a good thing). While we are making our monthly resolutions, perhaps we should have a Big Picture of where we would like to accomplish by the the end of the year.

Here is my "big picture" so far:

Cycle 2000 miles (37 per week)
Walk 540 miles (10 per week)
Lose 20 pounds by June and maintain
Finish painting my house
Decorate the living/dining room
Master my new mid-arm and quilt frame

I will probably add to this next week after I have a chance to sit and think about it a while.

Anyone else have a big picture to share?
