Hi;
You should probably save your money and invest in a HR monitor, I have an ekho wm 25 and I love how it measures my heart rate and calories burned.
I bought it off Amazon and it was under 50.00
It is probably a little off in calories burned but close enough for me.
It makes it a lot easier when i record all my workouts on here..

I don't worry about how many calories I've burned - I just make sure I burn some! Possibly a power meter would be your best bet for accurate measuring.

I just rode my bike to work today for the first time and thought it was a bit harder than I expected...discovered it was probably because of the 15lb backpack I had on (maybe). I was just wondering if anyone tracks this is any particular way, or if the difference is so minimal that it doesn't even make a difference.

I have a heart rate monitor but it doesn't figure calories burned using my heart rate...it's a Garmin and uses distance and speed.
