Thank-you DavisJH for the kind words about our Marble City Metric. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and we enjoyed having you ride it, too. We are looking forward to next years ride, with an added bonus of 100 miles! This weekend, we will put on the Time Trial up Bull Gap Mountain and back. Two of your ladies did the ride this morning, to report on conditions. All looks good. Again, thank-you and do encourage friends to come out to our part of the state and participate in our Marble City Metric.
It was a great event - the weather and scenery were wonderful, but the fellow riders were the highlight for me. A line of six riders, mostly from Birmingham, passed me by about midway through and invited me to join their line. The second half flew by and the organization & friendly riders made this the best organized ride I've completed. Perhaps it'll be topped by the Third Marble City Metric Century - with over 100 riders!

Beverly, The turnout for today's Marble City Metric Ride in Sylacauga was wonderful! Thank-you, thank-you for those who came. I keep getting asked if I rode - not/ I'm a trusty sweeper with my best friend/husband to learn the ropes and pick up bike signs. Maybe, next year I'll ride in it. But this is really a good ride, beautiful scenery, rolling hills. Thank-you and Tim for all you do, your inspiration. We encourage you all to come on out next year and enjoy. And if you want to, contact us if your in the area; we love to ride!

Our club had it's 2nd Metric Century Ride today. Last year we had 27 ride (including lots of our club members). This year we had 75 ride, and only 4 of our club members, and they were riding support and sweeper. Despite storms and tornadoes last night today was a good day to ride. Cool and cloudy, but no rain and little wing. I would like to give a big thanks to everyone who worked to make it happen and especially everyone who came out and rode. We will have pictures on the website soon.
