Congrats on the new Cannondale! I don't ride a feminine version of my bike either, and I love it (the WSD didn't feel right for me).
Lovey, you should get what you are comfortable riding. I am not a fan of hybrids, but thtere are other things you can get without getting a road bike (you can get a cyclocross, touring, or "path to pavement" bike, for example). You will be fine with whatever you choose for the Iron Girl and She Got Bike.
Because I plan on doing my first triathlon in August and my first non-competititive bike ride in Semptember, everyone thinks I should get a road bike. Other than the tri and the "She Got Bike" event, I just want to ride for fitness and ride with my kids.
This is the year of a healthier me. Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.
The guy at the store said it was a hybrid but I also saw it listed on the website as a recreational so I'm not really sure!!! All I know is ...it is sooo much fun and super comfy...my longest ride was 31 mile ride and no soreness at all!!! My cycling friends seems to think I get a really good deal on a great bike!!!
We did not intend to pick up my bike today but that is just what we did! I got a 2008 Cannondale F6. It is not the feminine we had intended to purchase, as the shop accidentally sold it and the ones they had left were too small for my 5'9" frame with 33" legs! The one I did get is GORGEOUS though. Check it out on my SparkPage. *giggle* I'm just giddy!
I actually now have bike shoes and clip pedals for the first time ever. I had a 'learn to use your pedals' session before we drove away with my bike. It is just insane! I love my bike! *beam*
Recommitted and re-energized to get back in shape!
