Yup, we are going to the Tennessee Tandem Rally (right after Georgia). This one comes with a warning:
"Please Note: For anyone who hasn't ridden in the foothills around the Great Smokey Mountains, even though we have lots of mountainous roads we are able to route riders around the really steep climbs. However, it's impossible to ride over 10 miles in the area around Alcoa, TN, without climbing something and what goes up must go down. Therefore, please use extreme caution on the descents as tandems left to descend without judicious braking can easily hit speeds of fifty miles per hour on some of the hills... far too too fast for many of the corners that you'll encounter."
Sure glad we put on the disc brake after Horsey 100 last year.
